Well...now we know who we're up against in the big dance and reckon it'll be a beauty. Souths won the first this year and we won the next two but no real blow outs in any game. Borchet will come in and maybe Wheeler and Fimmano in place of Stainsby, Atkinson and Beverley. Souths defence has been outstanding the last few weeks so it could be a battle between the two 50 meter arcs. I think our mids can match Souths so it'll come down just how efficient our forwards can be. Obviously Borchet and maybe Wheeler will make a difference but the smalls in Moore, Waters and the likes of Newton have to kick goals. Should be a cracker and based on the second semi where Souths got very physical off the ball at Delahunty in particular could be a pretty brutal affair. Go Subi.

Yes is hard to believe the footy season will be done and dusted by about quarter past 5 Sunday afternoon. If South Fremantle can stay focussed on the job at hand, they are going to give Subiaco a good shaking. Going to be a good match. Subiaco will be more refreshed of course. Not sure if that being advantageous? Souths have currently had 2 good wins in the Final series. Going to be a good match whichever way it goes. Gazing into the crystal ball and it says the weather conditions should be Fine for Grand Final day.

Yes wag...I'm not convinced one game in a month is a good thing either. Souths have come off two good contests in two weeks so should be ready to go from the first bounce...our guys will be fresher but will be missing the match hardness that comes with playing finals footy. Will Souths be a bit sore and physically drained or will Subi be off the boil and lacking the intensity of game day? I guess we'll find out in seven days time.

BC we've had this situation a few times with 1 game in a month, so the boys should be well prepared, can mean a slow start and Souths have been fast starters in both their finals so we will need to be switched on from the first bounce. Borch comes back in which makes the forward line much better balanced and spreads Souths backs a bit thinner, they were terrific yesterday but the CL inside 50's were deplorable, so they will have to deal with far better inside 50's from Subi. Higgins v Dela should be worth the admission price, Higgins will win most of the tapouts and expect Dela to win around the ground, while Souths aren't a dirty team i expect they will target a few subi mids early to try and reduce our fitness advantage, could get quite willing early, but hey, it's GF. If we can cover Schloithe and get quality inside 50's we should win, but be just 5% off and Souths will be all over us, any over confidence or complacency will bite us on the arse. As I said on another thread i hope lots of Bullies supporters and neutrals turn up to give Subi plenty of abuse and not miss the opportunity of seeing arguably the biggest finals upset in WAFL history. As Schloithe said, anything can happen on the day.

A couple of times not long ago we copped the bye in the last round as well. Thrilled that we will be playing a real WAFL team and should be a great contest. I think that it will come down to being on mentally, if the boys don’t come out right between the ears Souths have the player spread to knock us off. I would be disappointed to see Clanger come in. I don’t think his form prior to his trip away was that great and also having suffered a face injury recently would add doubt. Plus I don’t think it sends the right message to those trying to break in to the team. I doubt he is even under consideration to be honest. Granted his size is handy but Braut can fill the role. I think our defenders generally seem to get the measure of the Souths key forwards, Souths defenders were terrific yesterday and could use height to exploit Subi. No doubt they will attack Dela early which would leave us vulnerable so I hope they try and protect him

Forecast is for 24 degrees and sunny so should be perfect for footy. I emailed the club to buy some tickets but was told they're almost sold out. I'm not sure what the club's allocation was but they got snapped up pretty quick.

At the risk of being called a Subi basher (which I have not been), I don’t think you need to worry one iota. It’s noble of you guys to say that you’re wary of Souths, we better watch out or this will go to the wire, but Subi will win running away.
Of course, I will be happy to apologise if this is not the case.

Sharky as you know there's no certainties in sport. We were supposed to win in 1995 by the length of the straight and got blindsided. We didn't have a hope in hell in 1973, 1986, 1988 and 2014 apparently but won all of those reasonably comfortably...short priced favourites get pipped all the time so I for one take nothing for granted. It only takes an injury or two early on and a couple of our prime movers to have off days and it's game on or more to the point, game over. Recent form and previous results are an indicator only and guarantee nothing.

I find it rather ironic/humorous that you are "happy to play a real WAFL team" in the GF.
Most Clubs would say the same when playing a side other than Subi during the tear.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.
Winning isn't everything. It's the ONLY THING !!!!!!
