I don't understand your point LTR. I thought it was a given that if a club has a league team in the finals and they finished highest on the ladder, than if they have reserves also playing finals, the game will be played at the same venue. Can't imagine it being done any other way and don't think that's any surprise. Then again - who bloody knows these days.

I'd bring in Le Fanu, Wortho and Heal - keep playing Jackson,Feathers and Latham in the 2's next week.
Hopefully have a win and re-assess in the grand ???
This game will be tough. Le Fanu can play as a tagger, Heal and Wortho gives us options down back while Clancey/Della can play forward or back depending on how it's looking when not in the ruck. I wouldn't play Bestry in league. Kennedy can play as a tagger if required also.
They've got good runners for sure the Falcons.
Looking forward to this game - should be a cracker ??? Subi by 2 goals ???

Tough job for the selection panel and also need to consider the weather which will play a role in selections, at this stage the only long range forecast I can find says rain Thursday, Friday and Saturday but fine and 19 Sunday, so a dry day but could be a very slow track, if so it could take the sting out of Joondy's pace and better for out bigger bodies. major factor is the ruck where Keunan took us apart in the loss at Joondy, he gave their mids silver service with a couple of very good set plays so our mids will need to look at that and our rucks need to work him over in short bursts as I'm not sure they have another ruckman to help him out.

After last weekends compromised finals, this 2nd semi should be a real WAFL showcase and only those that attend will get to see it. Booked my semi-final luncheon package with allocated parking bay, entry, lunch, drinks, box seating and halftime feed in the boardroom all for $65!!

that is good value SS..I'd do likewise but have my son's U17s team in the GF at East Freo Oval on Sunday...so hopefully the club will do something similar at Subi Oval if we make the GF.

Chopper I think Bestry, Jackson, Latham & Mahoney miss. Woody is a hard one, he's a goal kicker & even if he's quiet he will still kick a couple so maybe another chance for him.

Watching a press conference with the coaches, Schoey specifically mentioned Bestry as an option to go against Keunen so maybe he's looking at including the extra tall. Bestry's very mobile and if we have 3 talls running hard off Keunen that should wear him down. Will be interesting what the match ups Schoey is looking at but our mids will need to be right on top of their game.

Just watched a news clip of Sydney training at Leederville today. Who was the bloody genius who approved that!! Leederville has the biggest workload of any WAFL ground with 2 league clubs based and training there and games their every week plus if we lose and or the Ferals win it could host finals every week of the finals apart from the GF. Lathlain would have been the obvious choice being the next closest to the CBD, just another insult to the WAFL imho.

SS, Godd luck wearing Keunen down, he has been battling above his weight division and multiple ruck combinations for years and regularly beats his opponents. We also have Adams, Kietel, Rodda and Lourey that shoulder some of the work in various positions around the ground that works well for us.
