I think we are pretty lucky to have the "fringe" players that are of such high quality and would walk into most other teams. What Schoey has done is to drill these guys so that whoever comes in plays there role and there is little detriment to the team when the 1st pick players are out, that has been proven all season where we have had a raft of injuries to many key players but the boys that come in do a great job.

Selection will be based on match ups and Joondy are a team with plenty of pace who spread really well with quick ball movement so we will need an extra mid in the rotations. They have a top ruckman in Keunan who was the main reason they beat us last time so young Bestry who I rate but is very green, would be up against it so expect he will stick with the two experienced boys in Dela & Clang who have the nouse and physicality to go with Keunan and negate his impact. The midfields are the two best in the comp but our defence has been miles ahead of all other teams and if we can hit our targets and get a bit more accurate in front of goals we should get over the line.

Joondy have a few injuries but can afford to rest a few against the Peelmantle 3rds this weekend.

Possibles: Besty, Garcia,

Hoskins in for sure as he's earnt his spot along with Moore. Only one of Latham/Blech as you can't have both even look at Kennedy as a tagger and leave both out ? I like Garcia before Wood and if wood struggles next game I'd give him a miss. If we're playing against big fellas up forward then Heal must play down back. I'm worried about Mahoneys form - if he doesn't perform in our first final he could be in trouble. Jackson has been good so will be a tough call but they'll probably go for wortho if he's ready to go. Declan could well be a 150+ gamer for us and I wouldn't be disappointed if he gets a run.
Tough calls to be made but a good situation with so many options. I'm looking forward to the ressies this week and worry when Elliott plays ressies so it's good to see nobody mentioned him in league TFFT

I'd be playing Moore,Hoskins,Jackson,Blech,Latham if qualified, Heal,Wortho,Mahoney if qualified,Wood if qualified, all in ressies as they need a run, get some form or maintain form if they have no niggling injuries ??? This would be a benefit to our league side in our quest for back to back and hope we don't get any injuries.
Garcia also to get a run in ressies this week. Can Lefanu & Waters play if back from injury ? What's the ruling on games played is it 5 ??? Some of these guys will not qualify then ?

I think if league side is still in then the ruling on games doesn't count but don't quote me on that. If not then Worth is out he has only played 2 ressies

Yep probably correct but makes it tough when back from injury and Lefanu,Mahoney,Latham all would be doubtfull then ??? All been injured and need a run so if it's touch and go they may have been better off playing more ressies to gain form before being put up into league so fast ??? I'd like to know how many of the others are qualified then ???

yep think you are spot on there DG, with both league and reserves in the finals, players can bounce between both grades, irrespective of games played by the individual....good luck to you boys for the finals.......

Thanks re the qualifying games Freeze.
That being the case then I'd be playing all 9 players I mentioned above. They all need a run and its best for the league premiership defence. Some may have niggles who played league last week ? If so don't play them
