My gut feeling to the recruitment of Davis is that it is not warranted.As Freezin has mentioned on here before,Subi have enough good youngsters coming through and also enough experienced types to guide them along.Iprefer to watch the development of colts and ressies boys rather than pick ups from elsewhere.For me, the recruitment of Menegola and Kitchin would have sufficed,along with getting Woody back.Sad to see two locals in Leishman and Joyce moving on,they were both in my top 22.I guess also that Randy has retired.He was a terrific defender.

Mate we have lost a lot of experience, proven wafl players. I think we have gone backwards for next season apart from Davis these loaded recruits mean fa to me atm, as you said we were lucky to even make the gf & if the ferals had lycett mcgovern etc things may well have been alot different.

Your definition of backwards is not really relevant to any of the other G7 clubs as you are the only ones who can recruit whoever you want.

Hopefully you don't charge us for any of your kids that want a game of footy at basso !

It will be very interesting to see how the young boys go next year in getting a shot with these recruits coming in. You may find that if the likes of Garcia, Clarke, Halligan, Norris etc don't get opportunities next year Subi may be ripe for the pickings as these guys will more than likely look elsewhere.
You would hope they get their chance but only time will tell, they can only hang in there for so long being starved of opportunity before they are on the move.

Yes, points relevant. Salary cap and transfer fees irrelevant as Subi are the only G7 club that don't have money issues.

Hopefully the kids that miss out at Subi get a free clearance somewhere else, more than welcome at Swans, like Hughes from Peel may get drafted with the right opportunity

I hope you are right mate because Davo is the best player at our club and the way they are recruiting willy nilly $ubi are making a mockery of the WAFL by flat out attempting to buy another flag at the G6 club's expense!
