I know our ressies were very good this year but hopefully the club is targeting a strong inside mid to replace Jason Bristow and a ruckman to replace McDougall.
We cant afford to stand still as others will be looking to improve significantly.

Absolutely. Cant afford to stand still, a bit of bad luck with injurys etc & we could be back down to eighth before we know it. Depth is everything...

Big Loss. How do the Lions fit these players into the salary cap if other clubs cannt. I hear you are chasing EP midfielder too.

No stress mate as it seem your mob are poaching yet another player from outside, this time from us!..beggars belief how $ubi can get away with it year after fucking year buying flags!! How about working your own zone I says! Hopefully the player concerned does a hammy off the bone first game
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

What if this SD player recinds on his decision of going to Subi and stays swandog.......still hope for a torn hamstring then mate?......cant blame someone for seeking more dollar........its not as though any of you SD fans are gonna dip your hands in your pockets and pay this fella the difference to what Subi are paying is there?.....if you feel so strong about it cough up then.....sure a fella like you has a bit of a nest egg you are saving for a rainiy day!

I guess most clubs are going to get as close to their points cap as possible aren't they?

Maybe the 130 could be reduced to 120 perhaps?

Hopefully are local boys get good game time as they have for the last two years. Wouldn't be surprised if Subi have played more young blokes than any other club over that period. Although I can't be sure. Would be interesting to look it up.

From a personal point of view I prefer seeing the boys who have come through our zone play. It's a great thing to see these blokes work their way from development squad to colts to ressies to league.

I guess sometimes there just isn't a player coming through that is good enough to be a top flight performer in a particular position.

Did look it up. Not bad for Subi. Swans played the most 22 and under (DOB 1992 or younger) non-imports in 2014. The first number represents the number of players used and the second figure is the games played in total

Swan Districts 18/209
Claremont 17/191
East Frem 13/172
South Frem 14/146
Subiaco 17/133
West Perth 14/128
Perth 13/110
Peel 15/70
East Perth 11/58

Even more surprising than Subi are looking & recruiting elsewhere then LH?.......especially after they won a league flag. I can see why Subi recruited outside this year after struggling in both senior grades in 2013....but yuou guys played in both senior GF this year.......Kitchin replaces Bristow like for like can see that.......not too sure where the likes of Lockyer, Menagola, Hancock fit in?...plus if rumours are true Kerr, a SD and EP player too follow?..is it recruiting for the hell of it because u have more money thsn the rest of us?

....if it is "depth" you guys are after then I reckon Subi's reserves must be hurting big time dominating the year and then getting done by WP in the GF then....and Subi are hell bent on winning that reserves flag!.......you guys have shed loads of youngsters good enough to play league not only at Subi but else where yet you recruit two failed AFL listed guys, a 2nd tier player from another club and gone east for another.....you guys must be paying your reserves boys good coin to stay

....pts capping only work if there is consistency across the board in allocating the points.....Menagola and Lockyer should be worth more than DelaHunty or Boland or Stockley...yet they cost less points wise than Wolfenden who has spent the last two years playing ammo footy or Jason Bristow who played for Golden Square in a country leaguein Victoria......who the fark are Golden Square!
