Absolutely stoked Bristow won the Simpson, not only for his performance yesterday but his entire season.

Yesterday shows what hunger, desperation and belief can do, so happy for our boys.

There were a lot of Swans supporters there watching the Colts today who left straight after and we would be counted in that tally as well!
It was such a shame to see WART have their AFL footy shorts pulled down and bottoms spanked in the wet for the 2nd year in a row! :P :cheer:

I got there for the last qtr of the Colts and must agree with you as the walkways were wall to wall black and white. and a lot in the stands... Didnt see much black and white during the next game but a lot of Red and Blue.
Subtract that from the final figure and it drop even further.
Official from WAFC was 12000 and lowest attendance since 1944.
I have a feeling the fudged the figures as well.. Suspect not much money went into the coffers either as a lot of free tickets given out.

Great to see 3 G7 clubs take the bikkies being Swans, WP and Subi.. Well done to them all

Subi you ripper, crowd would have been under 10k after the Swans and WP people left, this is the biggest single indictment on the alignment system. Lowest recorded GF crowd numbers in history, people say it was the weather, bullshit !!! Last year was an identical day and 20k+ attended.

Cardy Swans had a function where they presented the colts players which was attended by a number of our supporters which probably explains, in part, the lack of black and whites for the ressies. Additionally, I suspect a number left after the colts' game.

Well it's taken a while but my feet are finally back on the ground.
As one Oz prime minister said, this is a win for the true believers. So thankful for all the other team supporters congratulations it is greatly appreciated.

Congrats to the Swans colts for their very hard fought win and to WP in the ressies, they showed that a dead set favourite is beatable, bit sad for our boys after a dominant season but WP played brave footy in the last qtr, really rolled the dice in shocking conditions and got the win.

Now for the big one, this has changed my view of the alignment slightly in that our expectation of the feral sell-outs totally dominating due to 50% AFL listed players. What this game has shown is that when it comes down to putting their bodies on the line and going above and beyond the Eagirls will not do it for fear of injury and a delayed pre-season. Now that their contracts are signed and sealed and they are no longer playing for a spot in the Eagles they really aren't playing for anything much at all certainly not for the jumper they are wearing. Does anyone think that an eagles listed player would do a George Hampson and play on through the pain after a hammy injury and kick 2 vital 2nd half goals? I think not. It was clear for all to see that the listed players don't play for the Blue and black, you only have to to look at that soft cock Josh Hill, a wonderfully gifted player but showed a total lack of commitment, it was only a ghandful of non listed players that played the game out to the end, so I see that as some hope for the future for the G7 teams.

The Eagles started off very strongly and it looked like it would play out as expected but the Subi boys showed what playing for the jumper really means, just like Joondy did last year. A wonderful team effort with sensational games from Brissy, Horse, Phelan, Stocks (what a great story he is) and the entire backline who as a team within a team was a major reason for the win.

Great that the 9 boys who missed a medal in '11 were able to pick one up yesterday. A fantastic result for the enormous effort put in by the club the coaches and the players to make sure we were able to rise from 8th in '13 to premiers in '14.

I cant sign off without a note of respect for a great WAFL warrior in Craig Wolf who showed class and composure with is post match speech, what a shame he is unfortunately tied to this rabble of a club, just another WAFL injustice. And to the deluded feral supporters who had that banner up on the southern stand that stated "East Perth 2014 premiers" before the 1st bounce, your arrogance knows no bounds.

Off to have a Bex and a lie down :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
