I think it's important to show the boys that we believe in them for this game. They read these pages from time to time and cop it sweet when we give them a barb or a bouquet.

Truth be told, if we play to our absolute best we can win. It will take a mighty effort but EP are just human, like our boys. The side EP fielded in round 5 contained 13 AFL listed players and we won that one so anything is possible.

If we play to our best and don't win, then so be it, that's footy.

Great day for our young reserves team also. They've had a great season and some of those fellas will surely become regular league stars down the track but WP will come at them hard no doubt.

Hopefully we can get the week started well with a medal tonight in either the league or ressies.

we all want our club to win and we will be disappointed if we lose but we're also realistic. this afl trained squad have had a week off and we've had a gut buster. wen the pressures on u expect the cream to rise. nothing more nothing less

Congratulations to each and every player who represents the Subiaco Footy club this weekend.

All that's expected of you is to never give up, never be beaten, bust your gut and walk off the ground absolutely spent saying "I couldn't have done any more"!

The rest will fall into place, win or lose, you can be satisfied that you played your part in history!

Go Lions!

Subiaco have had a good year. Their stats from the qualifying rounds are fairly impressive. Average disposals per scoring shot running at 12.1 disposals. And doing an average 22.8 disposals per goal. They are the best figures in the league. The only downside is Subiaco's poor ball possessions / game which finished at 48½%. Hoping they have a full squad to choose from. No doubt they can win this weekend. The guys just need to keep the mind on the job.

I tip Subiaco for this one. Not because I want to see EP loose, I honestly believe the Subiaco playing group can take it to EP.

Good luck Subi.

Great support from our WAFL colleagues, we would do the same whoever was up against the Cheats, it's very much appreciated.

Schoey will give the boys a very light week and we should see our 3 stars back in for the GF, Boland had a hammy twinge but I was told by one of the assistant coaches that he would be a definite if we won the prelim (GF).

main worry is Chris Deluca who took a massive hit to the inside of the lower thigh just above the knee. Watched the replay last night and they had it in bone jarring slo-mo, I don't know how he managed to come back and then make a contribution in the last qtr, the TV commentary said no structural damage but possible bone bruising. Measure of just how inspirationally tough the little bloke is. He would be pretty sore for several days but they will have a hard time keeping him out of the 22.

I've heard that the forecast for Saturday is around 32 and the same or not much cooler for Sundays game, will we see any pressure from the 2 clubs for some heat concessions, the WAFC and the clubs have a duty of care so maybe we will see longer breaks or preferably increaing the bench to 5 or 6. I would think the Weags would put some pressure on the WAFC to protect their boys.

Well, training was top notch.

All the boys trained including DeLuca, Hampson, Horsley and Boland.

A few others like Bogensperger and Forrest busting a gut to give the selectors something to think about.

It's game on.
