[code]Senior Seagull post=233709 userid=922 BC, it will be interesting to see how Wardman uses Kentfield, probably based at FF with Borchet at CHF and Sok as a roaming forward. Hopefully Sok is fully over his ankle issues that really reduced his effectiveness late in the season and finals. Both Kentfield and Borch can pinch hit in the ruck so may rotate through FF, CHF and ruck. We have a good group of small forwards to go with the 3 bigger blokes, just need to get a forward system that suits the players we have.

As announced on the clubs facebook page, Leigh Kitchen is to stand down as Captain at Subi. Appointed captain in 2019 to replace the great Kyal Horsley he lead the club for 5 years including 2 flags and an Outridge medal. He move to Perth in 2015 and was part of the leadership group for 9 years, he also captained the WA state team.

Congrats to Kitch on a fine career ... so far, hopefully there's a season or two left in our crafty old warrior.

Would expect David Rohde to take over as he was the one to stand in when Kitch was injured, although Greg Clark would also come into calculations.

David Rohde??  David Rhodes...now he was a player back in the day.     Reckon you could be on the money with Clark although Drew would be a good replacement as well.

There are a number of senior players who could step in if they wanted to nominate, but those 2 appear to be the front runners.
 

Yes, I reckon Clark at 26 could be a better option than Rohde at 30. I wonder if offering Clark the Captaincy was part of the enticement to come back to Subi given there was a heap of interest from a lot of other clubs as well.
