SS from the WAFL website looks like you guys play
East Perth at Leederville 2.30pm on the 9th March
Swans at Bassendean 2.30pm on the 16th March
West Coast at Leederville 10am on the 23rd March

Thanks Mike, makes sense to play the Ferals and we usually have a pre-season run up at Bombo. Will be interesting against WCER who should be much stronger given the WC list is in a much better state than the last 3 years.

I notice Stainsby, South, Vanirsen are all missing from our senior playing list on the club website, but Zac Clarke is still listed. I wonder if he's considering playing on?

I think from the AGM Beau Wardman was keen to give him every chance to go around again but at that stage his knees were so bad he could hardly walk. Hopefully a bit of rest sees him recover enough to play , but I am doubtful, he looked pretty banged up by the end of last season.

BC, Woodley is also still on our website list, a poster here mentioned he’s now at sd. Beats me why they can’t keep things updated there, it’s 2024 not 1980, how fkn hard is it!
I wouldn’t be holding my breath with Clarke, if he does play he could and probably will break down at anytime. So many times last year I thought to myself we would be fucked without Zac, and we will be this coming season if we don’t find a good replacement. We could also lose Kentfield pre or mid season to make matters worse. Ffs forget about Zac and find a replacement!

Kingsley will have a good team. McGowan was going well, I thought. Vanirsen showed promise.

our reserves team will be weakened. The midfield ins for this year, no doubt convinced the boys to head north.

Of those mentioned, McGowan is the biggest loss, I saw him as a Kennedy type player, attacking off the fullback/halfback line, but with Foley back he may have seen his opportunities being limited, although Foley is a different taller type of player along the lines of Heal, for whom he is a perfect replacement.
Apart from the lad coming over from Gold Coast we don't look like a fast team, especially losing Gyro, but we have rarely had the pace of most other teams in the last 20 years.

Fair point about the pace. We do tend to "grind them into the ground"
