Thanks gents. I guess it's not the first time Subi has taken an average player at another WAFL club and turned them into something a bit better ala Ben Sokol, Aaron Heal, Drew Rohde, Rowan Powell and so on.

BC Latham was another one from Joondy who couldn't get a league gig, who we turned into a premiership player.

Well we missed out on Crowden, he's signed with the Ferals, mate of Scott Jones apparently.

Sounds like Jones was more of mate then Giro was to Crowden....

Both very similar type players Freezin, small, left footers. Maybe they would be competing for the same spot in the same side together.

Crowden is a bigger body than Giro but Giro is pacier so different sorts of mids, thats why we were chasing him so hard, as were Souths who wanted him to fit into Duckers spot.

Just following on from DG's comments on the WAFL ins and outs thread, I also have some real concerns about the direction of the club as a whole but the playing and coaching group in particular.

We lost that physical ability to monster other teams last year and we seem more intent on woke acceptance with Wardman at the helm and now Kara Antonio as the forwards coach. In the past, past players were the most effective and I see no reason to alter that approach now.

I hope I'm wrong but we seem to be deviating from a tried and tested formula for coaching for reasons I don't quite understand.

Never fear boys, one of your 'greats' has been elevated to the senior coaching team, Chayce the Ace Creedy, premiership coach. He's a good BW loyalist so all sweet.

Beats the hell out of me why BC. Maybe some of these opposition old timers are right with what they are saying - we are heading back to where we belong, apart from the legend Bunts days and the Subi oval $ days of course. Peter Daniel days here we come! I recently read an article on Sellsy, he received a call from Bunts about him moving over here as a recruit. He couldn’t believe it and actually thought it was a prank call. Bunts flew over to see him and the rest is history. Imagine if the great bw called him, Sellsy would’ve blocked his number
