I'll go and have a look at the scratchy on Saturday which should give an indication on how we're travelling. Looking forward to it.

BC, I see Giro and Gus are odds on to suit up for WC given Covid is rampant at WC. Lets hope they dont bring it back to the club. Would assume the club will have them in iso until they produce a couple of neg PCR tests.
The scratchie v Cl will be interesting given around10 of CL senior list are in iso, they will have plenty of youngsters stepping up, but thats what scratchies are about. The next 3 weeks leading up to the season opener is going to get very interesting. If clubs start getting big numbers with covid we could see some unexpected results. Hopefully Covid will have washed through the comp well before mid season. If Covid hits hard we may see the ressies comp is postponed or shortened if league squads need 10 or 12 top ups. better that than closing the league season down. They would rather shut down the ressies than the colts as that affects the AFL draft and we cant have that!!

BC, did you make it to the scratchie? if so anything to report?
Ressies, colts and futures all won, league lost by a few points, I assume most of our senior citizens didn't play?
I heard Cl had a heap our due to Covid?

Della might get a call up by the Dockers after Darcy's ankle injury. Would be ideal as a back-up ruckman and key forward option.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

No...didn't make it SS as I saw the Subi team on the WAFL site was pretty much a reserves combination with a few seniors like Dela, Kitch, Heal, Borchet but not too many others.

Ok thanks BC, I'm hoping to get down to West Coast stadium for the Perth Scratchie. Might be our last scratchie if WC are still in the grip of Covid.

A solid hit out for a first hit practice game with a lot of players missing. Best were Kitch, Dela and Snadden with Sokol only playing in the second half. Ryan Borchet kicked the first goal but the tigers got the next four and the rest of the game was a gradual catch up before we hit the lead with about five minutes to go. Then a defensive mistake cost what was ultimately the match winning goal. Snadden started slowly but worked his way into the game and showed some good foot skills later in the game. Not really worried about the result but we got caught out the back defensively with an inexperienced backline ( no Lockyer Dewar or Kennedy) and the connection into the forward line was a little broken.

Johnny, was that reserves player Patrick Mullane? He really caught my eye, especially I. The preliminary at Freo

Great to see Scotty Hancock back at the club in a coaching role. I always thought he was a tough, no nonsense type which will hopefully flow across into his new role as forwards coach.
