Let's hope so. I'll try to get tickets if it does although I won't like my chances as you'd need to know someone in high places to get a look in.

I'll be trying as well, best scenario is Brisbane or Port get in one that has bugger all supporters here, Geelong have quite a few Melbourne not that many, but they will get first pick, after that its the freeloaders, the Rick Gloede OAM types et al. Then the general public, it will sell out in 2 minutes.

Also would like to know how much McGhoo has forked out to host it.

You could email your local MLA and ask the question.

I think it's done and dusted now that it will be at Optus, Vic has recorded 80 + cases today, there's no coming back from that in time for the G to be used. I think the norm is that participating clubs get 20k tickets each for their members at an MCG GF, but given none of the ordinary members will be allowed in to WA, it will mean more tickets for the public. That being said if there are 40k for the public I'd be surprised, after the Government and all their lackies, the WAFC and their extended families and hangers on, there might even be less. I'd like the Govt/Optus management to come out now and say how many seats will go to the general public. I'll be totally pissed off if they give any preference/early buying opportunities to WC or Freo members. Optus is a taxpayer owned facility and as such the tax payers/ordinary folk should get a fair deal.

There was mention last night on Ch 9 that WCE and Dockers would get second pick after the participating clubs, I was mighty pissed every single WA person should get a chance at a ticket, we are paying for the stadium.

Also what impact will this have on the WAFL GF? at Optus, thats the week after right?

Most footy followers wont have a couple of hundred to throw at an AFL GF seat, so it should be easy to market a quality game of state league footy at the same venue for around $25. For the first time in a long time the WAFC is actually thinking about the WAFL, they will do a juniors parade which means they bring along their parents and grand parents, plus as usual, kids in for free and have a kick on the hallowed turf after the game. If kids are only interested in AFL players get some Dockers and WC players along for autographs, I mean some top line players not the leftovers, players that came up through the WAFL ranks, give something to the comp that gave them the leg up to AFL.

I doubt they will let public on playing arena at optus.
