BH I am more concerned about the ever expanding areas in NSW that are in lockdown than where the AFL GF is going to be played.
I am not particularly concerned where the afl gf is played either 42 but it was McClown's words of "I couldnt care less about football" that were extremely concerning to me, but not surprising considering his totally not needed lockdowns that have resulted in 2 rounds of WAFL being missed so far and no doubt more to come knowing that one trick pony!

Have a look at what is happening in NSW.  Their delays in locking down has had an impact on Victoria and SA.
And if McClown had have closed the borders to NSW earlier we would have never needed to go into a lockdown and more importantly miss yet another round of WAFL footy due to McClown's incompetence!
Stop pretending Emperor McClown is some sort of messiah 42.
A drovers dog could keep WA safe, mainly due to our isolation, by closing the borders to the outside at the first sign of an outbreak we would save ourselves from any totally unnecessary lockdowns.

I am with you 'bease': 20 thousand at the cricket in England yesterday, despite cases increasing; they have managed  to lower the hospital and death rates which are the key figures-- this is via two factors: injection and natural immunity. The vast majority of people survive the disease

174 million out of 181 million in the world

yet the media never stress this important fact

Best article I read was yesterday about how this pandemic is like My Lai incident by Giedon Haigh.

You literally are killing the village to save it.

Well look at the upside, all of this business has drastically reduced all influenza figures in Australia, if you believe that

Not very well but what's your point? It's far easier to close down WA than NSW given we have 2 main roads in and out of the state which are easy to police and NSW has hundreds....plus the fact NSW has 3.5 times our population.

Has the NSW government tried to lockdown NSW or has it just expanded the areas of their lockdown once community spread has occurred?  Rinse and repeat.

I know you will say the same thing abt this but it isn't just abt getting it, getting better or being less likely to be hospitalised but you can still have issues -  www.abc.net.au/news/2021-07-22/long-covi...of-effects/100311514  which a salient point in all of this!

I suppose BC this may add credence to your concerns abt the health system and its ability to deal with these issues as they grow in number.

Vaccines will make no difference, as boris stated in one of his press conferences 60% of double vaccinated uk people are still ending up in hospital! Apparently he made a mistake it is actually 40%, so we will say somewhere between 40-60%. As BC said get used to it this isn't going away while the health system is rooted

60% of people admitted are UN Vaccinated.LONDON, July 19 (Reuters) - Britain's Chief Scientific Adviser Patrick Vallance said that 60% of people being admitted to hospital with COVID-19 are unvaccinated, correcting an earlier statement he made on Monday.Vallance earlier said at a news conference with Prime Minister Boris Johnson that 60% of people being admitted to hospital with COVID-19 have had two doses of vaccine."Correcting a statistic I gave at the press conference," Vallance said on Twitter. "About 60% of hospitalisations from COVID are not from double vaccinated people, rather 60% of hospitalisations from COVID are currently from unvaccinated people."

Mmm not so sure Baz
