BH I am more concerned about the ever expanding areas in NSW that are in lockdown than where the AFL GF is going to be played.
I am not particularly concerned where the afl gf is played either 42 but it was McClown's words of "I couldnt care less about football" that were extremely concerning to me, but not surprising considering his totally not needed lockdowns that have resulted in 2 rounds of WAFL being missed so far and no doubt more to come knowing that one trick pony!

Have a look at what is happening in NSW.  Their delays in locking down has had an impact on Victoria and SA.

It is interesting to listen to the discussion around whether one will need a COVID-19 vaccine passport to go to the footy or fly etc.

Vaccines will make no difference, as boris stated in one of his press conferences 60% of double vaccinated uk people are still ending up in hospital! Apparently he made a mistake it is actually 40%, so we will say somewhere between 40-60%. As BC said get used to it this isn't going away while the health system is rooted

As BC said get used to it this isn't going away while the health system is rooted  I am sorry but for the life of me I cannot see any correlation between the functioning health system and Covid19 infections, lockdowns or any other issue other than our ability to cope with a mass infection.

I am not suggesting our state health system is what it should be but can you explain to me how it state effects infection rates returning travelers, numpties who decide they are immune and breach the guidelines and so on.

The sooner we get vaccinated the better, the infection can spread but the fatality rate is much lower. Israel has proven this and now England will be one to watch.

Also the people who have been vaccinated need to be given certain advantages over the bums that refuse to get it done, and if that means refused entry to certain events and places then so be it.

Personally I don't believe you should be allowed to leave or re enter the country without proof of vaccination just like the old days with smallpox typhoid etc.

60% of people admitted are UN Vaccinated.LONDON, July 19 (Reuters) - Britain's Chief Scientific Adviser Patrick Vallance said that 60% of people being admitted to hospital with COVID-19 are unvaccinated, correcting an earlier statement he made on Monday.Vallance earlier said at a news conference with Prime Minister Boris Johnson that 60% of people being admitted to hospital with COVID-19 have had two doses of vaccine."Correcting a statistic I gave at the press conference," Vallance said on Twitter. "About 60% of hospitalisations from COVID are not from double vaccinated people, rather 60% of hospitalisations from COVID are currently from unvaccinated people."

The vaccine was never going to completely stop you getting C19, it's more to ensure it reduces the severity of it to the point where most will not need hospital care, will at worst in most cased be more like a dose of flu you stay home for a week. Those that dont get the jab only have themselves to blame if they get hospitalised or worse, or are restricted from certain activities for the purpose of public health safety, which I fully agree with. Get jabbed and have freedom of movement, don't get jabbed, dont complain that you get crook and dont complain if you cant do anything or go anywhere.
