As for the suggestion of “penny pinching” I would think good corporate governance would demand that with a price differential of $17.35 per dose some negotiation would be required given Pfizer comes in at $19.50 compared to AZ at $2.15 last time I looked

Well aren't we lucky here? I've got a friend in Thailand who said the Thai govt charges 3600 Baht for two Moderna jabs. That's about $148 AU. Meanwhile their playboy King is a multi Billionaire. She can't even get it even if she pays but they've got 70% of the population in Phuket fully vaccinated so they can open an international travel bubble. Great to see the Thai Government and Thai Playboy King looking  after Thai people.
Get on your bike.

Gotta love "our" ABC and the sensational "interesting article" from GS 42.

Kevin 2021 a man with an absolute conviction of intellectual superiority over everyone else in the political world and now in the 2021 corporate pharmaceutical boardrooms!

I can just picture the meeting with Big Kev entering the boardroom with his classic strut stating “I’m Kevin from Queensland and I’m here to help” followed by the almost as good “Fair Shake of the Sauce Bottle” you guys, us Aussies deserve better from you!

Surely nobody except General Secretary 42 and Comrade Grump actually thinks that the executives at Pfizer would do anything except have a giggle at such a display of grandiose narcissism, unless of course Big Kev thinks another corporate gig is up for grabs!

As for the suggestion of “penny pinching” I would think good corporate governance would demand that with a price differential of $17.35 per dose some negotiation would be required given Pfizer comes in at $19.50 compared to AZ at $2.15 last time I looked
Nah I read the article and figured I would wait and see what follows and sure enough it has been refuted by Pfizer, conclusion jumping is something that is a characteristic befalls many but is something I have lost, I cannot think fast enough in my dotage, BC where is my coffee and meds!

Why do politicians ignore their minders, Dan the man opens his gob when clearly he was wrong but hey it gets him publicity and makes it look like he is championing Victoria.

Grump I actually thought the Deputy Premier James Merlino came across a lot better than Dan when fronting the press. He seems a pretty genuine sort of bloke which is a rare commodity in politics.

Unfortunately almost anyone would look better that Dan, Merlino must have his minders from WA.

As genuine, well they are all pretty genuine it is what with or abt. Gladdy is abt her gold standard and the rollout is very genuine ............

Hopefully McGowan has learnt his lesson from the recent NSW inaction which caused a lockdown here and closes the border to Vic ASAP!
More sitting on his hands like last time will put us all at risk  of further lockdowns!

7 new cases in Vicco today linked to those removalists and the apartment building they attended. Now it's 2000 close contacts to be found after one of them went to Friday nights game at the G. FMD!!! Vic was doing so well with no cases for a couple of weeks, it can happen in the blink of an eye. This will close down attendances at games in Vic. The self important AFL will want to hub in WA & SA now. Good luck with that!! Dont want them here as it will likely close down WAFL.

SA is also on high alert due to these removalists - now there were three of them it has emerged and they can't remember exactly where they've stopped
could be time to end people's choice in moving about this way , it's getting further from NSW now

It is disappointing to see that the NSW's premier, commenting on the 43 people infectious in the community, has adopted the Trump defence: "that is a high number but a number which reflects the high amount of testing that we had,".

As for Morrison his pathetic excuse with respect to the Pfizer vaccine was the need to have it stored at a low temperature and how we have remote areas.  We have around 80-85% of the entire population of Australia living within 50 km of the coast.
