Mia is a fair sort alright.
I believe her father played in the WAFL back in the 1960s or 70s as well.

I am sitting here wondering why on earth would Sixpence make a statement conceding defeat in a race yet to be run.

Yep in all likelihood the libs will get flogged but to concede is either a ploy for poor me vote or just a plain dumb action by someone who really is out of their depth.

Whatever his motivation is was or whatever it really does seem to be handing not just sneakers but the agrarian group more votes.

I thought young Zack really struggled tonight.Constantly tried to talk over the Premier. No alternative policy's on Health, Education,Police. He didn't even try and sell his power generation policy.
He also backed Lisa Harvey in the Clive Palmer challenge to Wa's borders.Hes now light-years away from that decision.

Didnt see the debate but I was very surprised that Kirkup conceded the election today. Even though the polls look grim for the Liberals, I thought he could have been more optimistic in terms of his language and his determination to put up a fight.

The only thing I can think of as to why he conceded, is following the line of the Libs advertising around trying to encourage voters to block McGoo from taking control of the upper house which would give him carte blanche to do as he wants. He and everyone with half a brain knows that Labor will win and maybe with an increased margin, the only hope the Libs have to remain relevant is to stop Lab from controlling the Council. Punters know that Lab will win the lower house but if they think that Mcgoo can operate without any controls or review by winning both houses they may consider voting Lib/Nat or right wing independents in the upper.

SS I think Sneakers said that control of both houses was not good democracy. I would think that he understands that there needs to be checks and balances and despite how he presents sometimes I do think that we need a proper two party system and that idf it is the Nats then we will poorer for the experience
