Go figure. He's at the Airport with us now, having a whale of a time.

Some good old Freo brew will fix that salty nose!

P.S. - You shouldn't worry about FYFE.A storm in the manager's teacup about the Captaincy Issue.Isn't it? :   :silly:

PPS - Sure Pete regarding the Eagles' culture. You were saying exactly the same thing when Dockers supporters were whooping it up about Cousins and Co.You staunchly defended the Blue and Golds in the face of uproarious Purple laughter. ;)

No wonder you see Bruce Francis point of view two deluded old fools,, what time do you have to be back at a Nulsen Haven.

PN....Russian athletics are gonna make the Essendon scandal look like storm in a teacup...doesn't forgive the club for pursuing the sports science program they ran with after employing unethical people but to call it the biggest drug scandal in world sport is a stretch of even your imagination. I too am still awaiting your justification for why you regard Bruce Francis as a deluded old fool. The man wrote the Worksafe laws for the state of Victoria, one can fairly assume he knows what he is talking about when it comes to matters relating to workplace health and safety compliance.

One strange decision that was made for me was the selection of Silvagni instead of Collins.
Silvagni doesn't get up to play... again. But who do they replace him with !!!!! Clancee Pearce.A big replaced by a small!!!! WRONG move.
We recruited Collins as a ready replacement for McPharlin. He has a big stong body, has played senior football against many more senior players, yet he was left lamenting with Peel.Strange decision.
I haven't seen the game as family commitments haven't allowed me to see the game live or in replay yet.So can't really comment on the way we played or didn't play.
But remember that the Bulldogs stitched us up big time last year at ES.
As I said before... only the first game, write us off at your peril.

My view is that they are looking at a different approach than last year when they ran out of steam towards the end of the season. I think that Ross needs to rotate his younger players into the team early in the season to develop some depth and nurse some of the older guys till the mid point and the bye. If the Dockers can get to 6 -5 or 7 - 4 at the midpoint they can start building with a fresher list than they had last year, so the theory is that they can go on from there given a reasonable run with injuries. Alex Pearce is one who shouldn't be playing for Peel. Also he needs to give Jack Hannath an extended run to see if he has what it takes. He has been at the club for 4 years for only 18 games.

Not going to happen. U need to remember freo are not about developing players. Lyon is there to win a premiership, everything they do points to that.
That's the main problem with such a role oriented game plan. He uses the players as robots. Fyfe has a licence to thrill, wonder if a few player's would flourish given a similar opportunity.

That's the thing, the approach he has taken hasn't worked so he must adapt. He has just been resigned for 5 years so he is going to have to redevelop the list at some stage during this time, so he might as well start this year.

Yep he has to persist with Weller, give game time to Langdon and A.Pearce Mirabito isn't far away from resuming either.

We know that Ross is not into change (he still has a kerosene fridge), but I think he may have learned this time. It's no good bursting out of the blocks early then blowing your load half way through the season. Perhaps he's going to pace his club for the long haul.

Bennell is out indefinitely let the rebuild begin , Freo aren't winning a flag this year and I reckon they will struggle to make top four, and this is coming from Freo supporter and member.

It's time to phase out Mzungu, C.Pearce, Suban,Barlow,Mayne and Deboer they won't be there for the next tilt.
