Fyfe is finished!!!! Get your hand off it TFAF.

Our drafting has been pretty poor over the last 3-4 seasons. Not including last years intake and probably the exception of players like Blakely and Weller. See where we are in round 8. If we are 3-5 I would be playing the kids that will be there in 2019/20.

We had a good patch when it came to drafting players from about 2007-2010. Players brought in there form a large majority of our team now.

However I think our drafting done between 2011-13 has been poor. 2011 we drafted Hayden Crozier and Alex Forster, could have drafted Elliot Yeo, Jackson Merrett or Bradley Hill. 2012 drafted Josh Simpson, Tanner Smith, ,Max Duffy, Matt Taberner and Alex Howson, could have drafted Brody Grundy, Dean Kent, Callum Sinclair or Jack Frost.

I know hindsight is a wonderful thing and it's easy to say we should have done this when your able to look back on it now but the drafting over this period will probably hurt the club in the long term.

Still think the team is good enough to play finals maybe a seventh or eighth placed finish.

However the powers that be need to look at re-invigorating the list. We are the oldest list in the competition and I think that some players currently on the list have gone as far as they can with us.

If we are serious, come the end of the season players such as Tendai Mzungu, Chris Mayne, Matt Taberner, Zac Clarke, Cameron Sutcliffe, Alex Silvagni, Clancee Pearce whilst majority of them have been very good servants of the club probably aren't going to be there in three years time or improve their output much in that time.

Everyone talks about how Ross has changed. I think the real measure of if he has changed will be to see how many young players get games if the 2016 season goes southwards.

I dont think he is finished, having Bennell in their will help him as will Sandi, given that I think Brad Hardie is right, in the off season a huge amount of work has gone in by opp clubs and how to shut him down, as he said he relies heavily on breaking the first tackle, gets away, but now the follow up second tackle is proving telling looked to have slowed and got caught big time, on top of that appears to have back injury issues.

All I'm saying about Fyfe is that a bulged disc is something that can't be operated on and doesn't heal.

Hopefully the last game for Ballantyne though.

5's a bit rich from Sandi.

Johnson also looks very proppy I am sad to say.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

What a farking idiotic statement.Stupid is as stupid says.
Tool of the first degree.
We couldn't get yeo wehen he came back from Brissie as he requested a swap to the Eagles.
Lots of we coulda, we didn't.
Maybe now is the time , with out throwing the baby out with the dish water, to say to the younger boys, here is a chance for you to cement a place.Take it with both hands. Then say to the likes of C Pearce Mzungu Deboer and a few others, the kids are having a shot now.You want your spot back go to Peel and rack up 40 plus possessions every week and give your all.
Maybe changes, but let's face it, we didn't have Sandi, he is worth 5 to six goals a week to us.We didn't have Johnson, he is the cement of the back line.
The season has only just begun.

A/M the Subans,Barlows,Mzungos,Mayne and Clancy Pearce aren't going to get better unfortunately they are holding the side back the very reason we couldn't get past the Hawks in the Prelim.

Forget the winning the flag this year, guys like A.Pearce,Langdon, Blakely and Ethan Tucker and Ethan Hughes are the future they need game time.

And thank fuck Sandi is back next week, because Clarke and Griffin got smashed by a second string ruck .

Yup dont know any AFL player that is worth 5 goals!!, i think as good a footballer that Johnson is, he will miss Mc Pharline, as he was the player that took the power forwards, johnson is not the build to hold a power forward

I know he is no change agent Bazza. But everyone is saying he has changed and what Im saying is that if things go south this season then the measure to see if he has changed will be determined by how many games the kids get. If the kids don't get games and we head southwards then Ross hasn't changed.
