The West Peth Football Club would like to congratulate its 2012 Ball Legend – Stephen Trewhella.

Trewhella has an outstanding record at the Falcons as a hard, tough, no-nonsense player who gave his all for the team. He was able to squeeze every inch of ability out of his body through hard work, determination and courage, and set an outstanding example for his team-mates. He was a natural leader too, captaining the club for three years, including the 2003 Premiership.

Steve played a total of 174 games kicking 24 goals, and won the prestigious Breckler Medal on 3 occasions – 1996, 1997 and 2000. In all, he played in three Falcons premierships, represented WA in State football and is a current Life Member of the club. At the conclusion of his playing career he still contributed to the club by becoming a Board member and setting up new membership categories.

The West Perth Football Club congratulates Steve on this well deserved honour.

AS long as it isnt another start to the EP Finals run like 2000-2002 when they were aligned to the Eagles.. You would think the WAFL/WAFC would of learnt there lesson that it didnt work And due to the other clubs protests they dropped the whole idea.

Six Eagles have now qualified to play finals - Matt Rosa, Adam Selwood, Blayne Wilson, Cale Morton, Scott Lycett and Jamie Cripps. Get used to it because next year that number will Double.


Some people are slow learners and it is obvious they are in the WAFC. But then again they are only doing what their masters say. The three blow in EAGLES who were moved from Peel to EP will be very happy if they win. 3 players who should not of been at EP to start with of Rosa, Wilson and Lycett. Rosa not listed to play.
Add with the other AFL players and they have a very handy side.

Wulff should of got a minimum of a week for high contact to the head but the Tribunal did not make a fair and unbiased decision there where they should of and it shows HOW unethical they are.

Read on EP thread Clutterbuck could be out - shame as he was one of the good guys.

We have the side to match them and the GERM Dawson with our experienced players and in and under players.

Lets not get into the Alignment on here as plenty will be said when EP and Peel go into FULL alignment next year.

Whilst it was 1998 when both our Reserves and League teams both appeared
in the Grand Final, it's not since 1962 that they both won.

We are calling all Falcons fans to flock to Patersons Stadium as we aim to write
the next chapter in West Perth Premiership history!



We are welcoming all supporters to join us from 5pm at Arena Joondalup on Friday 20 September as the boys have their final training session for 2013.

There will be a range of merchandise available for sale - including our special edition Grand Final t-shirts - a sausage sizzle and a massive banner for supporters to write a personal message of encouragement to the teams as they prepare for Sunday's grand final showdown.

This banner will then be hung in our change rooms at Patersons Stadium to reinforce to the teams the massive support they have from their loyal fan base.

At the end of training, there will be a 15 minute signing session with the playing group so here is a chance to get your favourite players' signatures.

** GREAT NEWS - Channel 10 will also be at training to take vision of our supporters
at this session for Saturday night's news.

A massive Falcon crowd would add to the spectacle and give the boys a real lift!




Show your colours and help Patersons Stadium glow red and blue on Sunday and visit our Falcons Zone at Gate 8 before entering the ground.

Here you will find face painters, temporary tattooists and our merchandise van with a wide range of apparel to purchase including our special edition Grand Final T-shirt. Our mascot will also be welcoming supporters so come and get a photo!

The Falcons Zone will be operating from 11.30am right up until bounce down of the League game, with the merchandise van open at half time too.



Win or lose, celebrate the Falcons tremendous season by joining us at the Stirling Adriatic Centre following the Grand Final.

This will be a great opportunity for all members and supporters to gather together, and mingle with the players who will be presented during the evening.

Doors open at 6pm with the function concluding at midnight. Food and beverages available for purchase.

Purchase $5 raffle tickets for the chance to win a couple of pieces of West Perth Grand Final history - a guernsey or ball, signed by the playing group and coach.

Agree re the flag. If EP win it certainly wont be on THEIR clubs merit but a stacked deck. Jury out will see what happens. Let the war begin

Good luck to all players hope it's a great and fair match. Good to see a maximum of seven AFL players playing in comparison to the farce last year of over twenty AFL players.
