Secondly the club did not leave their oval and the fact that Perth is not part of their zone is due to the changing boundaries that has evolved as Perth has become a big city.

Thirdly Perth did change their name to Vic park..This i found on Wikapedia  to reinforce my hazy memory.
During the war years Perth continued to be prominent, finishing third in each of 1916, 1917 and 1918, but following the end of the war Perth (or Victoria Park as they were known  in 1934  and  1935 )

No sane person believes they are West Perth,which is why the issue is still lingering 30 years after they have relocated.

Should of been Joondalup Falcons from day1.Not why the old school Falcon fans are still around.

Their 1995 premiership side would’ve  comprised of players of players from the old West Perth zone,so by all means acknowledge that as a West Perth premiership,but 29 years on, they have still failed to properly acknowledge their new region.

I heard the operating costs of a WAFL club range between 1 to 1 and a half mill. a few years ago and I have no doubt the figure has risen since then,so the 70k differential is small potatoes when your looking at the overall picture,and maybe the clubs unprogressive mindset has hindered the club from maximising the potential of sponsorship coin from the vast Joondalup business district.

"West Perth" sounds much better than "Joondalup", as the name of a football team. You can't buy history or tradition. The advantages of a name change would have to be very big to outweigh these disadvantages.
