Gee 30+ who was the last WAFL midfielder that kicked 30 goals in a season...Andrew Krakouer in his remarkable 2010 season? and before that?
Most permanent forwards barely kick that total these days let alone mids, unfortunately it is a different game played today to the great one we all grew up with were mids like Wiley, Cousins, Mitsopolous, J & P.Krakouer, Malaxos, Mitchell, Spencer, Buhagier, K.Taylor, Judge, Peake, Cassidy, Carter, Hardie, Rioli, Winmar, Matera, Fong, Bewick, Menaglio, Buckenara N & B. Taylor etc would kick 30-60 goals a year regularly.
The other thing we all have to worry about now is if you do actually find a mid capable of that sort of ability they would no doubt be whisked off to the afl in the mid season draft to play predominately bloody vfl!!

I don't mind how our midfield is taking shape.
What have we got? Yeo, Byrne, Leggett, Murphy, Masten, Payne, and perhaps Troppo and a debutant or two from the Colts. Add, say, Bryan and Narrier, even Sinclair. Good hard running and good use of the ball will be the key.
Give us a competent ruckman and that will add some potency. We must start to dominate clearances and give good supply to the forwards.
Add a key forward target and scoring opportunities will result. Then it will be take the shots and don't squander opportunities.

BH yeah 30 might be a stretch but I’m sure 20 is within reach.
Smokey I like the way our mids are shaping also but I also think goal kicking productivity within the group could increase taking some pressure off the forwards.

12-15 goals would be a good season these days lads -- Horseley kicked 14 last season.

I’m sure Hayden Shloithe has kicking 25 in a season in the past year or two playing in the midfield.

Heard a rumour Tropiano won't be playing for EF next year.

Don’t worry about the rumours just read his own words ‘afl or nothing.’
And leggett did/does want out but ef seem to not have been able to get deal across the line.
Masten will be enormous for us, absolutely enormous. And Burner is your 25g midfielder.
Taylor has to step up to a wing now.
The key as others have noted is to get the forward line to tighten the fuck up and not let the ball come out so fucking easy. They were so soft in 2019.

Is Leggett contracted for next season?
If he is it’s no brainer it’s either suit up for us or don’t play.

yep, unless East Freo give you a similar player in return you wouldnt weaken yourselves.

If he doesn't want to play there then you may be weakened anyways.
