Ahh well took me the first game last year to tell me I wasn't going to another game that year, ditto after watching this game great effort by the 17! year old Fisher pity his older team mates didn't follow suit.

His state seemed low that is all.
Just 6 disposals.
One area I think we have improved is hit outs 61 to 40 with Eyres getting a fair share as the back up.
Inside 50s were okay until they obviously got on top in the last quarter.
Anty good signs PN?

All I can say is if that's what there going to bring to the table we are in for a low finish again, Eyres would of been vying for worst on ground, Soencer White did a couple of nice things but when the ball hits the ground his second efforts are non existent.

As Mr Afl stated we weren't rewarded in the first quarter after dominating it, the second quarter was marred by undisciplined play which resulted three unanswered goals to WP.

The last quarter we got to within a goal, gave away a fifty which stopped our momentum and then we faded badly to lose by Seven goals.

As I mentioned in a previous post DF the stand out for Perth was Zac Fisher and I liked Bell and Jacobs game oh and Tropiano was in his civvies don't know what the injury is.

We absolutely dominated the first quarter and they got a goal with a half second to go.

I thought all new recruits were good early but trailed off. I am surprised to see Jones get 40 plus positions - but i can tell you not many were very clean.

We all held it together in the 2nd until some untidy / ill disciple by a couple of our guys gifted wp a goal. This followed by two more in 30 seconds of footy.

These 3 goals in 30 to 50 seconds of footy saw us wait until the 15 minute mark of the last quarter to recover and get within 6 points at around the 15 minute mark.

Again from this point 5 easy goal to wp and heads dropped by Perth. Sure the umps may have given them 3 goals - but it is time we beat teams by 10 goals to take the umpiring out of it.

We weren't helped by Trop going down early in the 2nd - a carry over injury form preseason (i have a feeling).

I like most love Whity but his ankles go every week. If they are not up to it - he can not play.

Stack got a lot of the ball but just braised away.

Angus has to hit the ball a lot harder at centre bounces.,

Spencer was good early but I didnt think much from here. Perhaps we went in too tall.

Sinclair did some good stuff but negated that with some kicks and bandpasses into the opposition.

Fisher very good.

Umpires hated Billings last year - Leggett this year.

We gave up the ressies too.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Same old story DF. On top for most of first half but did not convert opportunities.
Fell for the same old 4 card trick late in second quarter when we could and should have put them away. Smart but questionable physical play by West Perth let them kick 3 quick goals. Ably assisted by some undisciplined retaliations which put WP back on top.
Some very poor umpiring (worobec) but WP far too smart and too good on the day.
Injuries did not help our cause. Jones on one leg all day did very well for 45 touches. Whitey's ankle wasn't right. Lost Troppo before half time. Zuccs looked to be on one leg.
Zac Fisher is a great find. Only 17 and will be lost to u/18s later in the season but he showed some of his more experienced teammates how to play.
Disappointing start. Gets no easier..Claremont next week then Subiaco.

With so many new blokes for this season it probably will take time to get the chemistry spot on - nice to see CJ still racking 'em up

He'll be a winner for youse blokes

Gee Pete you'll be sadly missed - sorry to see you go mate. Might catch you round one next year (I guess that's if we're all lucky though).
