Manuel gone - off to Melbourne - another handy player gone

Saw Mark Deaves at the beach this morning - his gone due to increased work commitments. He also mentioned Matthew Hunt. A shame that Deaves never took the next step played some blinders in the seconds. I think he kicked 10 in one game last year.

If Manual and Hunt gone this is very bad news in my opinion.

Good to see Deaves gone.
Was just clogging the transition path for some of our youngsters.
Hunt I think was a depth player.
I wonder if this maybe the coach indicating future prospects.
I hope so as it might be the right track.

Yes DF I too hope it is an indication that the new coach is unclogging the transition paths. It has been clogged for far too long.
It would indicate that ES is going to start with a clean slate and build a team up from the ground floor.
Sorry 30+ but it does sound very much like real development but IMO that is exactly what we have needed for so long. We might be surprised at how it eventually works out.

Hopefully he can find his way to Claremont where he can continue his development under the player development coach there.

Only seems like yesterday the season ended. I am so excited about this season. I hope that excitement lasts and doesn't turn into frustration and disappointment by the later part of the season.

Lets see how many of our young KP's at the club get a run in the seniors hey.

Theres also the danger of sending lambs to the slaughter,it has me buggered that we still dont have a tall mature KP forward.
And we won't go into our poor ruck stocks!!

For mine we are in for one of the worst seasons this club has encountered and how thats good for the future going forward has me beat.

Mark Deaves joins a list of ex- East Perth players to arrive at Lathlain since 2009 looking for more game time. These are according to Bouncedown Magazine? I don't know if I missed any. How many succeeded?
