I'm inclined to agree with DD. If we can't get Harvey or Harris, then give it to Trevor Williams. He has shown the passion for the job and with an injury free squad and 3 or 4 decent recruits it could make all the difference next season.

Trevor Williams has stated "he does not want the job!!!"

Williams as likeable as he is would be an absolute PR nightmare if appointed.,to sponsors new and old,membership and supporters.

I for one would not like to see him get the job but i would like to see him stay in some role perhaps in the zones/colts side of things but if he wants to move on so be it.


Harris and Harvey dont want it so you go through the list of applicants if noone is suitable then go out and get the person you want.


I am putting my trust in Atkins and Co to do the right thing and make this appointment the best get since Wayne Blackwell!

Yep for sure and if they are still at the club tie them up gag them and stick them in the corner until the job is done.

For mine its not just the senior job these jokers have got wrong over time its the colts ressies and assistants that need a total revamp as well!

Why are people still wanting to give the gig to Williams? Lets not forget that he must bear some responsibility for what has happened during McDud's tenure. Being assistant doesnt absolve him from all blame. There are things he could have done to ensure a better team. On top of that, his role as caretaker coach has been nothing short of a disaster. We have become completely non competitive and lets not bring up the furfy of injuries. Your performance may detioriate with players out but the replacements have shown no willingness or desire. Then of course, is there discipline aspect. This has completely gone to the dogs and we are now a even more of a disgrace and we cant blame all our lack of control on Billings.

Williams was part of the overall McDud problem and he has been at the head of some of the Demons for the past 8 weeks in which we have seen some of our darkest days in terms of effort, morale and respect.

Williams should also be given a thanks but DCM at end of season.

Spot on the guy's coaching record says it all the new coach needs to bring in his own assistants.

Earlier this month it was reported by several media outlets that Perth was down to 6 candidates. I am presuming those 6 were - Brent Guerra, Aussie Jones, Earl Spalding, Scott Watters, Chris Waterman and Todd Curley. From those 6 I think we can rule out Curley obviously, waters due to commitments in melb and maybe Waterman not sure why just don't think he is still a candidate!

So that leaves Guerra, Jones and Spalding......Does anyone else think there were others in the original 6? I have left out other candidates such as Armstrong and maskos as I don't think they were in the original 6 or that they would be approached now either.

So we are left with untried coaches.......How about we get Guerra to put the boots on as assistant coach and Aussie to coach......From all reports they are both being headhunted by the Darwin Waratahs to play and undertake development roles. Guerra about to take Deer Park into the Grand Final over east and has been one of the comps best players!! Aussie is currently coaching Bendigo Gold in the VFL who are about to fold so he is unemployed!
