Good to see Scott Stevens back at the club and getting involved.
Yes, there seems to be a change of thinking in some key people but it is disturbing to hear that the War Chest may be a myth. Also a comment made that the prospective coaches would cost a lot more than the incumbent.
Perhaps it may be Good Sammies might be the go with that sort of thinking DF.

The ones that would need convincing that change is needed are those that probably made the initial coaching appointment and those that made that crazy decision to extend his contract when the season had barely begun and he didnt have the runs on the board!!
I'm not to sure its anything to do with loyaly but moreso they dont like to be proved wrong or shown up to have made the wrong decision with the initial appointment and then the mind boggling contract extension.

A big problem is that this bloke is that pig headed, he just won't fall on his sword. He would likely demand he be paid out if they moved him on before the season is over. Apparently he loves the club.

If the money is there I am hoping they will make the right decision.
The thing I am worried about is the worry about balancing the books for this year.
Crowds have been down including the sponsor's lunches, although numbers up a bit on Saturday.
Mr Knapton seems to have taken over from Dorrington as the regular free lunch at Lathlain, I don't think he has missed one this year. I may be wrong.

DD of course we would have to pay him out for this year.
Next year is a double edged option so if he goes he gets no money for 2015.

Not sure coach is a dud. Maybe requires better admin structure to support the footy dept.

When Paul Roos took over as coach of Melbourne he said 'You know whats wrong with this club? There are too many red and blue people running it". The same can be said for Perth. Too many people who have the black and red coloured glasses on leading this club into the wilderness year in and year out and accepting poor performances year in year out! Marty Atkins was one of the first non Perth people to hold down a major administrative role and it shouldn't end with him. Clear out the coffers I say and lets build this house from the ground up instead of replacing a tile here or fixing a door there!

Vince, Neil and Darryl have all served the club well, they are all great blokes and they love the club as much as any supporter but the same was said for those in control at Melbourne. Lets get some people in (starting with the coach) who are paid to bring success to the club. For too long now statements like 'oh unlucky johnny' or ' we will do better next week' have been accepted by the football dept and administration of this club!!

Here here. All are good people and put a lot of time into the club. However it's not working and something needs to change before we end up on the chopping block. As said throughout the year the crowds are dropping off and this time, more than any other time throughout the last 20-30 years they will not come back.

We need to get the appointments ahead of the 2015 season right. Otherwise I'm afraid we will struggle to exist without going into an alignment before 2020. And that is something I would HATE, absolutely HATE to see.

I see the article in the paper mentioned German, Harris and Watters as possibles. I hope for your sake, little Scotty is not considered.

Harris is the one I would most like to see.
