Spot on, that's the first time this season I reckon the players didn't have their hearts and minds on the job and got completely blown away. The more even second half was as much to do with the game being over by half time as anything else. It will do more damage the longer this goes on. The word around today was it's not a matter of if but when, so the sooner they tap him on the shoulder the better it will be for the players and the club going forward.

That's exactly right. I've always been a believer in sacking coaches before the season is out. Bottom line is when it's inevitable he won't be coaching next year why let him hold on till seasons end. Do it now so everyone can move on and prepare for the next phase. We are still a basket case after 4 years

Well surely he can't last now. That effort yesterday was woeful by everyone. I know we were missing a couple of players but bloody hell where was the ticker.

Round 19 we will be playing Peel for the Wooden Spoon...again!!

Mature mongrel lead ruckman
Classy,pacy knows how to get the ball,silky skills mid.

Check out the stats for the number of inside 50's,number of Ruck hitouts and the size of our goalkickers (where's the talls??) on the weekend....makes for some sad reading!!

30+ EP had Sinclair (best on ground), Lycette, Johnson, Smith all in.
We go with 1 ruckman Eyres, don't consider Power, Borrett or Lleyendekkers (1st game back I know).
And we've got Busher out as well.

I agree!
The body language is the players way of saying "we want change".
And change is urgently required NOW,we must get the number 1 pick before other clubs wanting a coach beat us to it!

I also question our recruiting.
Did we recruit some players at the expense of recruiting a 10 point Tall KPP Forward/Ruckman/Mid,i believe we did!

This bloke for whatever reason just doesnt rate talls,his game plan revolves around having a team full of mid sized utility players.
I cant see us winning another game either.

I just cant fathom the clubs thinking in that his KPI is 10 wins,thats the same as last season...doesnt the club want us to improve??Because the KPI set see's us standing still!!!

The only good thing to come out of Saturday is suggestion that maybe thinking is changing with certain people re this coach.

The only concern I have is whether we will spend the money on the right person or go to Big W again.

I just can't see the point of not moving now while we have an advantage over other clubs.

Loyalty is one thing, making good decisions is another.

I notice that Scott Stevens is back at the Club in a role with the Colts.

Great to see, a man who got the best out of himself against some odds back at the Club.

I reckon after the next 2 games against Subi (Kalgoorlie) and Peel (away) with a bye to follow will be the ideal time for the tap on the shoulder. Gives the interim 2 weeks to revitalise the playing group and sset some goals for the remainder of the season. They need to be put on notice the next coach could be watching and their league careers are on the line.
