Good to hear we will soon have a new CEO. Will be interesting to see who it is.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

Good to hear that, at the moment, we have no injury concerns. Any club needs a good run with injury, but Perth more than most in light of our wretched run over the last 4 years or so, coupled with a lack of depth. Schlensog, Dellamata, Sing, A Clarke, Simpson, Constable and Poole all missed a lot of footy last year, some of them most or all of the season.

It's funny Doddy saying that because watching training the last week or so there's a few of our big boys hobbling around. I guess nothing serious or long term. Jack Poole looking a million dollars on the track. Geez I hope and pray that lad can get a good run at it.

It sounds like the squad is finalised for this year. The scratch matches are only a few weeks away so I thought about listing my preferred lineup for round 1 v SF.

Coniglio.    Johnston.   Sing.
Taylor.        Scoble.      Poole.
R.Clarke.     Constable.    Davis.
Simpson.    Schlensog.    Thorne.
Stubbs.       A.Clarke.      Wills.
Ruck:  Edwards  Parfitt.   Byrne.

Int.  Randall.  Watson.  Derksen.  Cachard.
Emerg.  Quartermaine  Kemp.  Hines-Bastin.

A big job or Scoble to hold down CHB but hopefully he can, which will free up Schlensog for a forward role and maybe some ruck minutes. I don’t know much about Derksen but if he played VFL level last season he should be a handy pick up.

I am cautiously hopeful of a much improved season. A pass-mark of competing for a finals berth is my assessment.
My reasoning is based around an experienced, highly credentialled coach who has a proven record from AFL level down.
IMO he would be a much sought after coach at any level but certainly WAFL level. We are very lucky to have someone with his resume on board at PFC.
He will work with a solid core of young players together with existing key recruits in Constable, Simpson, Clarke and Schenslog and new recruits that have been brought in by him and Doddy.
Only time will tell but it well may not be all the doom and gloom of so many seasons past.

Dazz, that is pretty much the same line up I would have. My only difference would be that I think Kemp did enough last year to start as the small forward. Wills is a good young player but will need to work his way in from the reserves. Selection may depend on coaching philosophy. If Stone is a believer in 2 ruckman, then Broadbent would play off the bench. If he is a believer is tagging, Gray may get a game. He is much maligned, but I thought he was very good in the few games he played towards the end of last season. I think he had a club record tackle count in one game. Hopefully Dellamarta can get a run at it, we see improvement from J Clark, Brogan-Henry and Hill, and young guys like Cooper Moore, Murray and Hine-Baston can put pressure on for league spots.

Yes because of his physicality  I am a Gray fan.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Does anyone have any info about Robert Warrell? He has been dropped off the Colts list, appears without a photo or number. It would be disappointing to lose a promising young player.

It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.
