TFAF, need minimum 60 players for two teams and even then, may need a few more to cover any walkouts, or long term injuries.

Here's another 17.

Murray, Shannon, Jacques, Evans, Preston Coates, Wood, John, Luers, Revita Tharpe, L. Cooley, O. Scoble, B. Clarke, MacTaggart, Derksen, Keen, Brandis, McLean -

I don't know much about the 1st eight here and nothing about the last nine.

56 players on our Website. My two lists add up to 57. We are still awaiting a decision on Randell.

Q will need to lift his rating a long way, the way he plays he is a good ressies player..
For me, Broadbent will probably be in our first line up.
I'm fairly sure he may be able to spend time up forward.
Don't disregard some of the late comers like Derkson and Brandis I would suggest they may have been recruited by the coach for a reason.
Why would you have Parfitt sitting on the bench?
He will probably be the WAFL recruit of the year.
Not sure OHB will be in the starting lineup, maybe the ressies.
If we get Randall cleared our midfield will be looking stronger than last year assuming Constable and Simpson stay on the park.
Although Simpson will probably spend more time forward.
Not sure either Clarke or Williams were scapegoats, more like the source of the problem.
Williams was not up to scratch and was there far too long and I am not sure Clarke measures up to some of the CEOs in WAFL.
The next appointment for CEO is critical, to bring us anywhere near as professional as other clubs.

I do have Broadbent and Parfitt in the 22. (My first 4 reserves are in bold). Can't have Bryne, Constable, Randell, Edwards and those two all starting in the centre bounce.

OHB will be waxing it with the likes of J. Clarke, R. Clarke, Newick, Wills, Kemp, Paton, Shannon and Della for a wing/small forward position. These Colts from two years ago are used to winning (2 finals campaigns in a row) and this is important for the team's mindset.

I have Q at CHF because he can smash some packs, hopefully has improved his fitness and footy nous and this leaves Schlensog in the important CHB position. Possibly the most important possie in the ground. Does he possess a voice out on the field. Can't play that role otherwise. Loud, instructive and encouraging. Ammes from Swan Districts a few years ago a good example.

Williams was probably there too long - along with Armstrong. But always welcome at the club.

IMHO our best team will have Schenslog at CHB.
I expect Scoble to benefit hugely from a first season at league level and another senior pre-season.
For me Johnstone maybe the unlucky tall.

TFAF, I have to say, leaving R Clarke out of the best 22 is surprising. OHB is a promising player, but has a ways to go. And Williams in the starting 22 ahead of Clarke? Those two are fringe players trying to prove themselves at league level. R Clarke is a proven league footballer.

As to CHF/CHB, I maintain Schlensog has to be CHF. He is a versatile player, and we can throw him around if necessary. But CHF is a hard position. Q may be ok as a 3rd tall, but doesn't;t have enough class for CHF. Likewise Broadbent - his height might cause problems in a pocket, but he is not mobile enough to play CHF.

I am pinning a lot of hope on Poole. He seemed to be on the verge of establishing himself just as he got injured. If he can fill the Sinclair/Avery role, he will be an important part of the backline.

Hey Ted, Regan would have to be close to our most reliable player and I love him. Yes he would definitely come into the starting 22 at the expense of either HB, Watson or Cachard. I guess what I am saying is that we have to find away of keeping players interested - and getting 15-25 players in our squad who have played 80 or so senior games. I have read somewhere that they are the sort of numbers required to have success. Also the Colts from two years ago have a winning mentality - because they generally win - this would be infective and we should nurture through as many as we can.

Also agree about Poole as a potential very good player - but we still need a huge unit in the backline who can handle the likes of Jonno Marsh. Can someone please tell me who if anyone is the true marshal down back?  As in who has the voice and demands the high standard. This trait not to be underestimated. I would like to have the loudest and most vocal team in the comp.

I really feel 2025 is a vital year for us that might determine whether a lot or some of our recruits want to stick around beyond their current contract. Has to be finals and win at least one final or better.
