I agree. Backline needs more height. Perhaps Schlensog. Scoble adds extra height in place of Ewing.
I think we will see more of Simpson in the forward line. Prefer Stubbs to Q.
I may be wrong, but, we may see Josh Edwards as a key forward. Would depend on how Broadbent goes.
Jacques 21yo 198/98 could fit into the side as ruck back-up

Do you guys not rate Kane Johnson? I certainly do, the obvious choice for full back. Taylor is not big enough for FB, nor is close checking his game.

I definitely rate him. Not his close range goal kicking though. I have heard Mark Stone give him a big wrap too.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Yes Johnston can be in there a lot of players can be thrown around. I rate Scoble highly and I think has bulked up a bit. Against South rnd 1 probably Johhno is in there or Schlensog has to play back against Zac Strom and Jimmy Miller.

Forgot about Dellamarta but he's missed a lot of football. Randall I think used to play on a wing at EP. Hopefully one or two more to come to make the task even harder.

Warrell remains on our colts list on the website. He had been elevated to the senior list, but has gone back. Maybe with our points issue the plan is to upgrade him mid season or when we get a mid season walk out or long term injury. Sensible move, I don't think he would have been ready for league this season. Half colts/half ressies and hopefully he can play league in 2026.

He's been training with the senior squad. Michael Randall at training tonight. Doddy said tonight they've approached 60 players. Still a couple more from interstate they are speaking with - key back and key forward.
Another key back and key forward would be good.  Anyone know much about the two that we are talking to.

Russell officially gone. I feel bad for him. Hope he is all right financially.
Why wouldn’t he be?
Well I reckon it would be pretty tough on any 55 year old to suddenly get sacked from their job. I imagine that there aren't too many administrative jobs around that he can just walk into. We all get used to our expenditures and he probably had planed to work in the role for another 5 years.
He wasn't sacked as a result of the TPP.

Call it what you like, sacked, resigned, quit, moved on by mutual consent.... I think a line Barich used was the club decided to move in a new direction. I heard the board was told for 12 straight months everything was in good order regarding the TPP prior to the findings.

Being the CEO Russell had to go. He worked tirelessly and was an open book to me about anything I wanted to talk to him about. It's sad but in the circumstances unforgivable. We should still see Russell around I expect to watch his son play which I know he loves doing.

Him leaving was nothing to do with the TPP issue. It was just bad timing that made it look like it was.

There is no way Russell could have survived this. We were lucky the commission came to the understanding how this would have devasted the club. You talk about unfortunate timing, that's as bad as it gets.

He was already leaving. Then all the TPP stuff came out and it looks like he's a scapegoat.
