I’m not sure why you guys have it in for Quill so much.  I watched him closely against Peel and thought he was ok.  Certainly better than Brown and Hendo.  He even played better than Masto did.  He will be a good back up /depth player for us.  IMO Hendo is the one we are equating time on.  He played one or two  good tagging games a few years ago and towelled up every time since.   The other player that seems to keep missing your spotlight of doom is Edmonds.  The guy gets the ball a lot and runs himself into trouble or worse someone else.   I do not rate him more than a reserves depth player.
not sure who said it but I agree these 3 games are definite losses and we should use them to try some young players or players in different positions.  Can hill or Nicholas play forward for 20 minutes ?  Only as an example.

If anyone asked me I couldn’t tell them what position Quill plays and what his strengths are. Is he a small forward? Is he a mid? Doesn’t seem to get involved enough. I remember seeing him at one point last week in no mans land in between a Peel player who took a mark or free kick in a back pocket. Quill was just not pushing up to where the next contest was likely to be or manning up on anyone.

One good thing he did was kick a nice goal from a set shot about 45 out.

I would agree that Quill is not the worst of our depth players, but he is not best 22. I think a lot of people couldn't understand why he was picked ahead of Richo and McP. I would agree that if two small players are to be dropped from last week's team, I'd drop Browne and Hendo before Quill. At least Quill has a bit of pace - he's not fast, but he's not positively slow, like Browne and Hendo. I would rate our depth running players in this order: Quill, Peletier, Hendo, Browne. Brodie Gray may be able to leapfrog all of them, but I confess I haven't seen him play. Is he quick? We were exposed for pace against Peel. If Gray just adds another slow moving, big-bodied mid along with Yeo, Colledge and McP, I don't know there's much to be gained by playing him.

Yes. Then Perth have a bye after that. Why not change the bye to the 3rd then have the Thursday night game. Its obviously because of a venue scheduling conflict on the 5th.

DBW has been added to the injury list. Knee - 5 weeks.

On the upside, McInnes, Smith and Sinclair are 3 weeks away (and Grey is 5)

Looks like Eyres is staying in. As I mentioned on another thread, I really hope the Covid make up game is the July 17 split round, not June 12. On that current injury list, we would have McInnes, Smith and Sinclair back by 12 June, but it would be nice to give them each a week longer. We should then have Grey back by late June/early July.

Ok fess up who's been walking under ladders, breaking mirrors and running over black cats? Fair dinkum can this get any worse? Obviously Eryes but hopefully they give Hunter, Martin or East an opportunity.

Just when we thought it would be safe to go back into the water...give me strength. I cannot recall the last injury riddled season to match this one.
However we seem to be getting closer to getting some key players back.
Yep, Eyres is our only option for the time being. Let's hope that we have seen the last of all these major injuries.
Team structure over the next few games will be crucial to getting us into a position where the return of some of our key players will provide one last charge for a finals spot.
Some dim light at the end of the tunnel but will it brighten enough?
