You guys can have a crack at me if you want, but before you do maybe you should revisit some of your past comments through the years.
All I am saying is we should focus more heavily on players that will stay with the club more than 2 years.
Also have a think about where would be in 2020 without Grey, Fisher, McInness O'Driscoll and McDougal. Because none of those players were recruited during standard preseason.

And yes we maybe looking good for 2021 and possibly even 2022 but if we don't learn to recruit some youth we will have another 30+ year slump.

McDougal retired years ago. I believe you mean McDonald.
We did bring up youth in 2021. McDonald, O'Driscoll, McPartland and Clarke.
And there were several others who played ressies. Hopefully some will take the next step in 2021 along with more Colts graduates.
We have recruited some youth this off season all of which you have a negative outlook on.

PD is right. It was a disaster to let English slip through our fingers. The guy is 20! While I don't question the recruitment of some others, we need to build a core of 25 and younger players who can learn from the more mature players and our good recruits - Masten, Grey, McInnes etc. And he's spot on about Victorian recruits - too many to name who just don't stay at the club long enough. The young Claremont recruits are unknowns and unproven. But there are 4 or 5 young lads who should develop further in 2021 - McPartland, Clarke, Davis, Sing, Peletier, Gray, McFarland, and Hayward.

I can easily answer why recruits haven’t hung around in the past. Poor culture, not competitive enough to play finals and poorly coached. We are now in a new era starting with most importantly a new administration led by former champion players who know the caper on the field.

While I appreciate the efforts of past administrations to keep the club in a sound financial position, that seemed to be their primary focus and they were perhaps lacking in that ruthlessness required to get the club performing on the field. Too often past administrations have been prepared to cop it on the chin and accept excuses.

So I think when players (recruits) see success they will stick around longer.

Most interstate recruits only stick around for 2 years for all clubs

Where are we at with Fraser McInness' transfer?
The deal with WCE was supposed to have been finalised last week yet so far no news.
It is noted that he is listed on the WAFL site as a WCE player.
He is key to our fortunes in 2021.
