I accept they revert to being WCE players, but I doubt they are contracted. It seems WAFL players only sign for 2 years at a time usually so presumably they were contracted for 2019-2020. So if they want to play for Perth, we just have to stump up the clearance fees.

I agree. If they have signed with Perth, and I believe that they have, then it boils down to whether they are still contracted to WCE.

Considering Perth paid nearly 11k for Loersch, you’d think that they would stump up the dollars for McInnes, Grey and Fisher???

And still no official statement for Loersch, the Claremont Kids or English. Maybe the media person, if clubs actually have those, is on holidays

I think in the case of Fisher and Grey they both probably signed 2 year deals in 2019 for 2019 and 2020. The fact the Eagles decided not to field a team in the WAFL in 2020 shouldn’t mean WC get to hold Fisher and Grey over to 2021.

Their contracts should be expired. McInness signed with WC at the end of 2019 after being delisted. Not sure he signed for 1 or 2 years but unlike traditional WAFL clubs i can’t see why the Eagles would want to force a player to play for them.

They seem to be pretty pro active towards signing new players for their reserves team and the AFL has allowed a lot of flexibility with the new list sizes. That might actually give them an edge by rookie listing the likes of Hutchings and Vardy who, until Sydney picked up Tom Hickey, was odds on to be delisted and possibly suit up for us in the WAFL.

Now Hutchings and Vardy are likely to be rookie listed and play most of their footy in the WCE reserves which is a waste.

KCEF obviously you are unaware of what goes on around you.
Search the WAFL website like most of us do and you will find that they Loersch, Hitchcock and Clark are noted as PFC players.
I guess the clearances are done.
It helps if you know what you're talking about I guess.

It makes sense that all 3 are out of contract.
McInnes had already signalled his desire to stay with us.
The rumour seems strong so I am inclined to think it may happen.
The regime seems dinkum about lifting us.
Watch for news soon I reckon.

Good news today.
Josh Smith has signed.
And it looks like we will retain McInnes, Grey and Fisher.
May have to repay a fee WCE paid for McInnes, but it looks like Grey is out of contract.
Very good news indeed.

Good news. I would still like to see a recognised ruckman around 200cm.
There is a rumour that Hendo may be moving on for better opportunities. Could be SD.
