The embarrassing cycle of PMs looks set to continue ,we haven't had a PM serve his full term since Howard ( that says a lot about the quality of him compared to the more recent lot ) . its making us an international joke.

Shorten will be PM in about 8 months but we will probably have another PM in between.

There you go!
Does anyone know what old dutton stands for?
I've not heard him say? Not unless I've missed it?
All this has started from the NEG, which is quite confusing when one reads it. Is dutton not interested in reducing power costs? Or does he want costs to keep increasing , or what!? How much longer are people going to be scammed and ripped off with exorbitant power prices?
And when Turnbull goes, what is the stance of the next "leader"?

I think you will find it's got SFA to do with this new energy policy it's more to do with immigration policy. Dutton is a hard arse and has a different opinion on immigration than Turnbull. Dutton I think you will find is from the Abbot stable.

He got unloaded and Turnbull came in with a bit of a kick, he initially had a bit of support in the middle, people thought he would rush in gay marriage, open the boarders, get carbon emmisions down, he walked away from all that , so all the left walked away from him, and the right walked away from him despite keeping the status quo on most things, they just don't like him.

Popularity just never came back , it didn't help that this rump was sounding off in the back ground, and then you have Shorten capitalising on it, Tax Cuts to big business like banks,,how the hell do you sell that at the moment??

The NEG ( very complex ) and fixing an emissions target was always going to upset the conservatives, they want cheap power, first. Climate change policy has destroyed about 4 or so leaderships ( lost count). Its all really eastern states based tension due to increased power prices and supply issues, we aren't that impacted here. Plus Queensland is a huge issue do to jobs in coal mining.

Some observations:

- the next opinion poll for the upcoming state election in November will speak directly to what the reaction to Dutton assuming the Prime Ministership in terms of seat gains or losses in NSW, Victoria and South Australia to offset the presumed boost in Queensland.

- one of the attack avenues previously used against Bill Shorten was regarding his role in deposing Rudd and Gillard has been completely neutralised.

- Julie Bishop cannot possibly remain as Deputy Leader when Turnbull is deposed.

- Labor will move no confidence motion after no confidence motion against Turnbull until they succeed or Turnbull becomesformer PMTurnbull.

Wow this is moving very fast at the moment.A couple of junior ministers have stepped down.Senior Minister Keenan looks like stepping down. Then the Nationals have just said Dutton is unelectable outside of Queensland.
Malcolm might be a nice man and better than most in that place. But he's a useless Minister and PM.Going on what we have seen of him.Dutton seems to do well in his ministerial roles he's done.Might be a great PM or a dud like Malcolm and Tony A.We will see in the next couple of months.
