To be perfectly honest I'm over politics in this country full stop. They're only in it for themselves and it has been a shambles for several decades and comes from both sides of the fence. We're right up there with Italy and some of the South American countries for political dysfunction. Same shit, different day.

No doubt you still voted ALP after the Rudd Gillard Rudd shambles...

I have always voted for the party that is interested in health, education, pensioners, the unemployed, environment, apprenticeships, etc and in the time I have been eligible to vote the party that is more closely aligned to my own views is the ALP. Nothing that has happened during the Abbott/Turnbull/XXXX governments they are diametrically opposite my views.

As a specific example I have heard many Liberals shed crocodile tears about people not being able to afford to pay their electricity bills when those same Liberals have reduced workers' pay by supporting cutting of penalty rates.

As I expected you voted ALP regardless.

And the rabble that purports to be the government CAN'T GOVERN because it looks like they are going to adjourn parliament.

CALL AN ELECTION NOW.

Of course I voted Labor because of Labor's policies relating to the areas I mentioned. Let's not forget Dutton's Medicare co-payment.

Now the government has moved to dissolve parliament for the day, so no question time. This is unprecedented and should be the trigger for a dissolution of parliament and a general election

The real tragedy and most annoying thing about this are the decent blokes that get hurt.

Just listened to Ken Wyatt on radio what a tremendous bloke and MP I have great respect for who sadly will most likely lose his seat , a travesty.

What should happen to the adjournment motion should be defeated. Then a motion of no confidence should be passed and an election CALLED IMMEDIATELY.

Tanya Plibersek is invoking the words of Menzies against he Liberals.

DIVISION UNDERWAY.

It looks as though the National Party is voting with the Liberals to adjourn the house. This from a party that alleges to represent the farmers. What an absolute disgrace the Nationals are. TAKE NOTE those who live and work in rural areas. The NATIONAL PARTY DOES NOT GIVE A STUFF ABOUT YOU and the DROUGHT that is currently affecting you.

Just to clarify the House of Representatives has adjourned. The Senate is still sitting.
