Pattinson suspended for a test for a 3rd code of conduct violation so the selectors are spared what would have been a tricky decision for the fast bowling spot. Looks like Bancroft will be the delegated "Concussion Substitute",a decision which absolutely staggers me TBH. He will probably be sitting for 5 days in a change room running drinks whilst he could be batting in a shield or grade game.

Agreed that will more than likely be the line up. Though to be fair Bancroft probably deserves to slot in as 12th man ahead of Neser.

jeez...the Pakis are imploding losing 4 for 3 in the space of 6 overs. Apparently the aussies were too short before lunch but are bowling a much better line and length now.

The 6th wicket ( Rizwan) appeared to be an obvious no ball by Cummins but was still given out??
Didn't look like any part of the foot was behind the line.

I thought they checked for no balls with every wicket that falls Mike..so maybe he had a millimetre behind the line and slid forward or similar.

I think Australia would be the happier team at stumps having bowled Pakistan out on the first day having lost the toss. It was a weird innings with 208 of the 240 coming in just 3 partnerships. The other 7 partnerships contributed just 32! There seems to be a little bit in the pitch and we wont know how competitive Pakistans score is until we see how the shaky Australian batting line up goes. I suspect 240 may be just below par but we will wait and see.

Warner is loving being back on home turf after a dismal ashes series, raked up an unbeaten ton and Burns is not far behind, these 2 will cover the Paki's score with ease, heading to 250-300 lead by tea tomorrow.

The opening partnership between Burns and Warner, which currently stands at 217 has now moved into the top 20 Aussie opening partnerships of all time. Curiously though its not currently the biggest partnership between the two, they scored 237 against NZ a few years ago. They obviously enjoy batting together and I think Australias search for that elusive Right hand left hand pair is now at an end. The possibility of the two of them batting through the whole day is now very real and Pakistan are looking down the barrel of a 600+ score and a potential innings defeat.
