Pakistan are not going to be losing any sleep over Australia's batting line up, they just need to work out how to minimise Smiths influence on the series. That is try and keep him to 50s rather than too many hundreds. Easier said than done I realise.
Brisbane may not be a five day test as their batsmen apart from Babar will struggle against Starc, Cummins and Co IMO

How impressive did the 16yo Pakistani fast bowler Naseem Shah look yesterday?
The Pakis have always produced very good quickies over the years from the days of Imran Khan, Safraz Nawaz, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Shoaib Akhtar right up to the current day lot like Mohammad Abbas, Mohammad Amir, Wahab Riaz etc.

Yes he looks very quick and dangerous. I wonder if they will give him a spot in Brisbane as a couple of their experienced guys will be coming back.

I believe Bancroft was picked because of his versatility to bat anywhere from opener to 6 especially with the new concussion substitute rule in place.
Burns will open with Warner in the 1st Test at the Gabba next Thursday.

I think the XI for the test will be
Warner
Burns
Labausagne
Smith
Head
Wade
Paine
Cummins
Starc
Lyon
Hazlewood.

The only question mark would be between Head and Bancroft, also would Pattinson come in for one of the fast bowlers (probably Hazlewood). Neser may be considered for Adelaide if they need another bowling option

Good to see young Jayden Goodwin get a game for CA Aust XI v Pakistan today....make some runs and he might be batting for WA very soon.

Reckon 49 v Pakistan this week might sneak Bancroft into the 11 TBH....not deserved going on recent form....but that sums up Aust batting depth at present
