i'd get Katich in there, he would ruffle a few feathers.
Greg Chappell has run his race for sure.

According to Maquarie Sports Radio.Details are starting to leak about a very animated change room last night.End of day 1.Bowling coach David Seker was very upset with our fast bowlers.Aparantly Seker believed there was something in the wicket in the first session for the quicks. But our bowlers bowled to short. When they pitch up the Indian batsman murder our bowlers.
A friend told me today he noticed bad blood. Between Tim Payne and N Lyon.I didn't notice that myself. But apparently they also had words about field placements, last night. It will be in the newspaper's tomorrow.

Don't think theres anything earth shattering in this. Just a team thats been driven to frustration by a relentless opposition.

How many defeats by an innings to India in Australia? This could be the first as they have made a lot of runs. We shall see.

After a promising start, the batting line up has once more been exposed. This was a great opportunity on a flat pitch for the Australians to make hay but we saw the same pattern of guys who get themselves in and then out. 4 wickets have fallen and really you couldnt say one of them was the result of a brilliant ball. Just poor techniques and decision making. As one who remembers the Australian team of the mid 80's who were pretty much easy beats I think this team is probably the worst since then. Labuschagne actually made a reasonable fist of batting at number 3 but his technique is just not up to it and the Indians have worked him out already. Harris played well but he wasted his best opportunity to make a test century. Shaun Marsh got out to a nothing ball (yet again) and not sure what Usman was doing but he appears to have been in a trance for this entire series.
Smith and Warner can't come back soon enough but even as talented as they are could not paper over all the cracks in this batting line up.

Mike I think this current batting side is actually worse than that mid 80s side (after the likes of Lillee, Marsh & G.Chappell retired) who were up against the might of the West Indies....at least we unearthed some top batsmen from that horrendous era- Boon, Jones, Waugh I cannot see any of our current Top 6 having anywhere near the careers of those 80s boys!

I think Harris has shown enough in this series to indicate that he is a long term prospect. Noone else though.

correct bease: none of those players out there today are better than Greg Ritchie was. There have been worse batsmen play in the top six in the last 40 years, but as a totality, this lot has been the worst I have ever seen by a fair way.
