Considering Starc bowling Ave at the SCG is 40 odd....was kind  of hoping Jhye would get the nod....looks like day 5 will be a washout...so India has 4 days to get the win...

A shortened test due to rain in Sydney!!! who wooda thought. If so it balances out the Brisbane test when weather saved an ordinary India. Should be going into Sydney 3-1 up but at 2-1 it makes the test a bit more relevant.

This is possibly the end of the road for Mitch as far as red ball cricket is concerned. I doubt if they will take him to Sri Lanka given that Webster also bowls off spin as well as medium pace and that skill set is ideal for an all rounder in  the sub continent. Cam Green will be back for the ashes next summer so barring injury I can't really see a way back for Marsh. He should still be picked in the Champions trophy squad for the tournament in Pakistan.

The Scorchers and WA will benefit from this decision as Mitch should be available for both teams regularly in their bids for titles

I thought I've read that Webster bowls pace? He's a mid 120's medium pacer exactly same as Marsh.

Yes SS their faith in the third umpire has been fully restored. Unfortunately Smith's knuckles dug into the turf causing the ball to shift in his hand and just touching the grass although I wouldn't say it was conclusive.

Definitely read it BH. Don't know why they played Starc he's grimacing nearly every ball and bowling wide down leg side to the lefties or dragging them down short. Richo should have played in this test I'm sure you agree BH.
