Cardy the best suggestion EVER. We can not only make the umpires the CENTRE OF THE UNIVERSE, which is what they yearn for most, we can have a fame of Aussie Rules last 12 hours.

Yes and we could call it Test Football.. Maybe they could have the games over 2 days. Start a game on Saturday Morning and go through to Sunday night.
Of course we would have to have Lunch and tea breaks. No bad light rules as they could have the lights on.
If the game is drawn we could bring a bit of soccer into it and have a 10 Goal kickoff to decide the game - now that would be exciting.

I wouldn't worry about it unk. It was probably those 30 odd thousand Eagles supporters that booed him when he got ko'd at Subi.

This is like the last game v StKilda. There is no doubt we have picked up a lot of new 'supporters ' by our success over the last 7 years. I hope we don't end up like ignorant, brattish Hawthorn supporters with all their expected rights of constant success.
My crowd 'meter', is how far I have to park away from the ground an hour before the game. It's getting further away, I'll be in the city soon!

It goes on everywehere and has been since footy began and if im not mistaken Gumbleton got the "bronx cheers" from the Essendon faithful yesterday everytime he went near the ball,which wasnt often i might add!

i think the disgrace must be the tv commentators yesterday. if that was not an essendon cheer squad calling the game i dont know what is. I tune into a game to get an impartial view. i could not believe what i was hearing yesterday. eddie mcguire was the worst by endlessly crying overhow hard done by essendon were. jason dunstall wasnt much better. vic clubs a protected species very much confirmed to me.

i must say gerard healy and david king very professional . both fine examples of straight out impartial commentators. enjoy their analysis on all clubs no matter what state their from

Spot on there,it was the worst i have heard in a long long time.

Eddie needs to give the mic up he was disgraceful yesterday.
They were even calling the wrong West Coast players names,dont know how often Mitch Brown was called as McKenzie and vice versa and there were others.
