This drug is only banned by WADA in their clause that any drug not approved for human use anywhere in the world is automatically banned.
This drug, specifically, is not on the list. So I cannot imagine this drug being available from any legitimate or legal source.

So this weight loss drug is not the peptide drugs they were talking about when all the hysteria first hit the press?

They said early in the peace that peptides can be taken orally but not injected according to the code. This drug isn't specifically listed at this stage (as not available under prescription yet for human use?) so this doesn't apply. They were injecting anyway so it's irrelevant however I guess the point I'm trying to get my head around is how can a drug be either banned or not banned according to how you administer it. It defies common sense. The Professor David Parkin's theory seems the only way forward from here. The AFL must provide a list of drugs/supplements to all clubs that they approve for use according to the WADA code they adhere to and ban all others drugs/supplements. Anything used from outside the list you go for 2yrs, no questions asked. It's the only way to avoid this in future.
For the record I'm an Essendon member who fully expects every player on our list to be banned for 6 months, Jobe to lose his Brownlow, Hird to step down as well as Bomber, Doc Reid must pay the price as he was clearly aware of the systemic use of this drug and the club to be sued inside out from the players for loss of income & reputation basically making the club insolvent and unable to register a team to play in 2014. It's the only way to protect the integrity of the competition for future generations. It sucks to think that the medical staff at ur club can bring it to its knees let alone what they have done to harm the reputations and careers of our players. It can't get any worse to be honest unless of course the other clubs that have had involvement with S.D. come clean...time will tell

The salient point is that Jobe Watson has not admitted guilt with respect to taking any banned substances. In fact he has done the complete opposite and said he is innocent. If he is found to have taken a banned substance he will be sanctioned. At that point in time he will not be allowed to participate.

Was actually at the game and couldn't believe some of the language coming out of the eagles fans mouths directed at Watson in front of young children yet again. Absolutely disgusting.

I have been to Dockers games, Pies games and Hawks games numerous times and have never heard anything close to what i heard last Thursday.

Try having a look in your own backyard before you cast stones at someone else, Cousins, Fletcher, Gardner and the so called hero Mainwaring????? Please West Coast is the most tarnished club in the league and the majority of supporters are a waste of space who have no concept of the rules of the game?? Great to see them languishing out of the eight and on the downhill slide after such a promising re-build

Yea and the hawks are so innocent arent they? No one from the hawks have been done for drugs at all have they!?
You only hear certain things at footy games. Every team has some supporters that are feral, just like every team has a majority of supporters that are not feral.
Also, you are comparing apples with oranges here. Coke and meth are definitely not performance enhancing. In fact they are performance hindering.
