Thought I'd start a thread about the player movements that will occur between now and the start of next season. Feel free to post any rumours or confirmed player signings here and when there's enough names I'll make a complete list.

The only information I know is as follows.
  • David Ellard has signed with Swan Districts
  • Tendai Mzungu has been linked with a move to Swan Districts
  • Swan Districts players Matt Rodgers, Ricky Cary and Matthew Jukes could all be looking for new homes next season
  • Brandt Colledge is apparently being looked at by East Fremantle

A good thread Mr AFL but I'm not going to even try to pre-empt what Subi may do....christ I just about passed out when they wheeled out Chick and Phil Read at the same time a few years back. The Subi recruiting guys move in mysterious ways that's for sure.

If SD are setting their sights with a big offer on Tendai that will raise eyebrows. Why would Tendai want to go to a club that came stone motherless last even Perth clean sweeped them.

I'm pretty sure Tendai will feel loyalty to the Perth FC that gave him the opportunity to grow as a player. It took him a while to mature. We are assuming of course he will get delisted but gee he performed well for Peel in that grand final. Fremantle may yet hang on to him for one more year.

I know that these are only rumours but the worrying sign is that our 2 delisted players are linked to other WAFL clubs.
Would be a big kick in the guts if we cant re-sign these guys plus the uncertainty of Tropiano, where is he going to play in 2017?

Crowley is talking retirement from footy so cant see him coming back.
Rogers likely Perth and Cary and Jukes a chance also to go to Lathlain.
Bennell being chased by Claremont according to Dusty on the Claremont forum.
from a swans perspective if Harding and smart cant get some players they will be lucky to have jobs beyond 2017.

MO did you hear any thing about Cary being linked to Subi..Might be a reason Swans are into Mzungu if thats correct.Ask BH about Dusty :cheer:  :P ..As it stands for Swans atm 2017 not looking good more going out the door than arriving.

Yes DD would be a shame if Tendai and Colledge went elsewhere. Hopefully get both of them back to the Demons in 2017.

I can understand Cary coming to Lathlain as he is a key forward MarkOlsen but whilst Jukes would be handy would rather the 7 points he would cost to be used on a ruckman or key defender. Also think the position he takes in the team could be filled by a younger player such as Cody Ninyette.

Seems to be a fair bit of fallout from Hardings contract being extended MO. I hope you get all your ex AFL boys back, you need them more than ever.
