The way these 2 are batting and the pies we are bowling the new ball will only come onto the bat nicely.
Just goes to show how ordinary we batted yesterday.
Gary the goat has bowled very ordinary in the 4th innings of an away Test match yet again when expected to have an impact.

Always going to be a tough job for SA.... hopefully Bancroft pays attention to the efforts of Markham....class act that kid.....also this test highlights again how poor Aust batsmen are against spin....

the melbourne number 3 bowlled too full; in addition, the refusal of Smith to change the field by bringing over a fieldsman from the leg-side was unhelpful. He had two out on the leg-side inspite of tha fact that the opener never played a single sweep short or pull short all innings. Just because the MCC play book says you should always place the extra fieldsman on the side of the wicket the ball is spinning, one should not use it as a religious principle when placing a field to a bowller.

You are spot on in regards to Gary the Goat's bowling length AR it was almost like he was deliberately bowling half volleys to Markram & DeKock for them to practise their off driving.....it was very ordinary off spin bowling to not even give the ball a chance to turn on a wearing 4th day pitch!

Ark it was a good fightback from SA.The Big Footy Cricket thread was in meltdown. We might of had some luck last night. The light was to dodgy to take the new ball and Stark got the old ball to reverse swing. Took all by surprise.

For all those who have criticised Kyrgios's behaviour could they please speak to David Warner's behaviour overnight in South Africa?

BH-- I agree 100 per cent -- he certainly bowls a lot better to left-handers as well.

gtr: the yarpies played well. The last hour, to be honest, was some of the strangest cricket I have ever seen. There was the question of the light,, but also the attitude of De Kock. Why did he stop trying to score, particularly of a bowller, such as, Smith? He could have had the target under 100 even in the dodgy light..

What is with this boofhead Warner? I hate the way he carries on even after getting a fifty or a hundred like the world is against him and he's trying to make a stick that up your ass statement. Then giving batsmen a mouthful when he runs them out and now being a fucking hero in the tunnel. He's a great cricketer but an A grade dickhead if you ask me.

Ian Chappell or Alan Border wouldn't put up with his attitude they would tell him you pull your head in or you are out of the team. He's an embarrassment to Australian cricket in my opinion. Gives Aussie cricket a bad name.
Get on your bike.

DD: your right about him carrying on like an idiot when he makes a century, it is very unbecomming and disrepectful of the opposition. IN regards his sledgging, the truth is that he is so unaware as an individual, that one could easily imagine him sledgging his own kids and familly.

He would defend it with his usual bull dust: 'it is just how I am'.

I think Warners slug like moustache makes him even more of a dickhead too.....LOL....I guess his average in the high 40's makes him thinks he is better than he is......when it suits he brings out the bullshit line that fatherhood has matured him etc..... he is what he is....a dickhead....sadly he gets well paid for swinging a piece of timber......too well paid from the looks of things....even if Aust go 1-0 up, the Saffies will be well motivated now to respond......sadly Smith is Warner's mate so don't expect the skipper to do or say much....
