Has there ever been a worse Australian Top order batsman against spin in our 140 odd years of Test cricket then Usman Khawaja?
Even more surprising considering his heritage.

A real facepalm moment that one mate - absolutely no need to even think about that 2% shot

Maybe he is the worst, for that some looking at all the stats for the last 140 years would be required.

What is more surprising is the point you raised considering his 'heritage'.

I know where he was born, however he would have been less than 10 when he came to Australia (probably younger).

Fair dinkum.

Under 5, according to wiki: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usman_Khawaja

Fair dinkum indeed.

Oh silly me to think his Sydney- scg upbringing wouldn’t have given him an early preparation and understanding of the requirements against spin bowling.....yes fair dinkum indeed!

BH: quite right on being rearred on the SCG, the best pitch with spin and pace in the country. He is not a great player full stop. Having said that, he is in our top six batsmen so they have few choices.

Southerner: I will forgive Bancroft on his charge down the wicket. It is no worse than 'Davie the man' always getting out to the bloody pull-shot caught at mid-on. You would think it might occur to him that he is no good at the shot? Oh well.

Stumbled our way to 200 odd....still a better score than SA first attempt, so logic suggests 400 will be a bridge too far.....some pretty poor shot selection from the Aust top order in the 2nd innings....as for Uzzie.... considering he averages 50 + on Aust pitches including that raging dust bowl called the SCG...just looks like Uzzie is a fella who likes his home comforts....seems like a mental thing. ....not sure who else Aust has at present to fill that first drop role.....Handscomb's technique looks questionable now.....Smth needs to stay at 4....S Marsh looks better at 5,like Uzzie he is dodgy at times starting his innings....be interested to see who folk think could fill that first drop position if they think Uzzie isn't up to it

Matt Renshaw should bat three for Australia.

I know he opens for QLD but since getting dropped he seems to understand his game better, and his strike rate in the past few months has been good. He is also a very good slips fielder
