Based on performances in this series here are my ratings for the Australian and England players who Participated
A+ (outstanding) - Steve Smith
A (above average) - Mitch and Shaun Marsh, Paine, Starc, Cummins, Lyon, Hazlewood, Anderson, Malan.
B (average) - Warner, Khwaja, Root, Bairstow, Overton.
C (below average) - Bancroft, Bird, Handscomb, Stoneman, Vince, Ali, Woakes, Broad, Ball, Crane, Curran.
Too many England players in category C for them to be competitive. They have unearthed a good one in Malan though.

Just curious BC.Stanley Hospital finished in 2013.Has a construction site in Perth closed down at 37.5 since then.

I'm actually surprised the Pommy quicks weren't affected more as the likes of Broad and co toiled manfully for most of the day.

Did you actually watch the Sydney Test BC?
Firstly you reckon there was no turn...well Lyon & Crane got more than enough turn when they bowled it in the right areas.
Secondly Anderson & Broad hardly bowled in the heat on Sunday the 2 spinners did most of the work on that day plus Curran.
Thirdly Root had gastro it was not heat related!

Then why has the AMA come out today and virtually repeated everything I said? As for the wicket, you'll note when I posted that comment it was 15 wickets for 900 runs at an average of 60. You'll also see that I hoped the wicket would start to turn later on the 4th day which to some extent it did....so what's your problem? Anderson, Broad and Curren bowled 90 overs between them and the spinners around 96....much harder for the quicks in conditions like that don't you think? or don't you think period?

If you knew the answer then why ask the question? I worked in the CBD for 17 years up until 6 months ago and I can tell you when the temp got above 37 odd degrees there was no work on the Brookfield sites which I was right next to and a part of. There my have been the odd contractor but not a lot else.

You don't know much about cricket do you?
Pitches normally don't take much spin on the first couple of days they normally come into play day 3, 4 & 5.
And I willl repeat in the heat on Sunday when it was 40+ the spinners did the bulk of the bowling not Anderson or Broad they bowled the majority of their overs on Saturday in mild conditions but if you actually watched the whole Test you would know that but more likely you are just completely ignorant!

Rubbish.....Broad, Anderson to a lesser extent and Curren bowled their fair share in the heat. Ali was crap so Root had to use the quicks far more than he would have liked imo. and you conveniently haven't answered my question on the AMA.

Moen Ali needs to be graded with an 'f' -- he is a pretend spinner and a pretend batsmen.

Anderson B+
Broad C+/B
Woakes C+/B
Overton C/C+
Vince C-
Malan B+
Bairstow B
Stoneman C/C+
Root C+
Crane C/C+
Curran C/C+
Cook C/C+

Overall, the batsmen lost England the Ashes -- all tests went into the fifth day and yet the batsmen falled to save one test match.
