Perfect opportunity for Bancroft to bat long today.... unfortunately another 20 something....Sydney will be a huge test for him....does well there and he is a monty for SA.... doesn't do well then the preceding Shield games before the tour will be crucial again..... definitely talented just got to turn these starts in to scores....or he will be another Cowan?...

You can throw Khawaja into the same boat as Bancroft Freeze!

A full day would of been interesting. The ball was starting to reverse swing a bit earlier than normal.

Yeah Jimmy was trying his best to give his nails a good ole manicure from all reports...... obviously an extended days play tomorrow....be interesting to see if Warner can get back to back 100s and Smith can get a 5th MCG 100.....if those two get knocked over pretty earlier will be up to the Marsh boys to steer Aust to safety.....mmmmm think that won't happen TBH...LOL

Freezin: can't really blame Root for having a scratch at the ball given the nature of the seam and the pitches. The Boers, on the other hand, were doing it in good bowlling conditions down in Hobart.

Good to hear Lehmann talk about playing for the draw, cricket heorics are completely unrequirred, Australia being three nil up

If England can break the Warner/Smith partnership before they get past the 164 lead then they would be favourites to win barring more bad weather.

Anch: I was just referring to the kookaburra balls having a less pronounced seam then the duke balls in England. Apparantly, they have used duke balls in Shield games and the bollowers have had a much easier time even on the flat pitches. I don't know why they can't get Kookaburra to produce balls with better seams.

Oh what a surprise all the Pricktorians whinging and whining on social media over the Australian selectors adding Agar to the extended squad for the Sydney Test over "their boy" Holland!
Little do these uneducated flogs realise that Agar is actually Melbourne born and reared.
Maybe they should be asking the question why their so called-self proclaimed "sporting capital of the universe" tag has only produced less than a handful of quality Test Cricketers in the last 40 years!

Game on now with Shaun Marsh getting out before lunch... All that hard work blown away in 15 min....not sure Mitch has the technique to hang around....that 181 knock off his probably seems a life time away now....time for Mitch to stand tall and deliver.....get 150 in front and that will be tall order for Eng to get.....tho getting 150 in front may be a tough order for Aust TBH ...pity Warner couldn't get back to back 100s....bit of a brain fade sadly.....
