I'm talking about workplaces and an employer's duty of care as per Mike's original.

He's the English Captain who gives a faark, but seriously do you think the Indian cricket board would bring in a heat policy that's one of the advantages of playing at home, what happened yesterday in Sydney is the norm in India , the poms suffer from heat stroke when it reaches 30 degrees in Enlgland. Ffs.

It just makes sense to me ...we delay the start of soccer matches when it gets too hot and it would have to be mandated by the ICC as you correctly point out the Indians wouldn't be too keen....but when player's welfare is at stake too bad.

I havnt read anywhere where any player's welfare was at stake, can you please report where a doctor at the ground yesterday reported this information ?

2 Physicians eventually reported today that a severe bout of Gastroenteritis was the cause of hospitalisation - the poor bastard nearly shat all his fluid out , hence a quick trip to be re-hydrated
Ultimately this didn't work anyway , had nothing to do with heatwave conditions , end of story
Pity the Press didn't at least try to get the facts but that's typical

who cares, series over and the Aussies won.
Smith brilliant, Marsh boys outstanding and the attack stayed fit and all contributed.
