With Smith getting out for 3 does that mean his position is under scrutiny now?..LOL....Think Usman has secured his test spot....good to see Wade, score fudge all too..

I see the Poms have arrived in Sleepy Hollow.

Out of interest, does anyone know which hotel they lodge in while in Perth?

mixed feelings about this result. How come we fell to 145/6 in the first place? I still strongly suspect we need to pick another specialist batsman to win the Shield. Well done to the bowllers in particular on a good start to the season.

Great start to the SS with a 300 run win against TAS who will finish last this season.
The bowlers did the job with the ball and also with the bat we still have some work to do in that aspect me thinks.
Bowlers around the country will be keen to stay with the pink ball as they certainly had the wood on their batsmen counterparts Starc 8/73 to roll the SACA's the pick of the lot.
Khawaja has locked in the number 3 slot whilst 6 & the keeper are still up for grabs with S.Marsh, Cartwright & Nevill leading the pack after all the others failed including Wade.

Not a great weekend for batsmen with the exception of Khawaja and perhaps Warner. I thought Cartwright demonstrated a test quality but failed to convert his two starts into bigger scores. Should be better batting conditions next weekend. Great to see NCN bowling with so much heat and how good is young Jhye Richardson going to be in a few years!
As you said great start by the Warriors but they will be tested against NSW in Sydney next week. I still have the feeling that their middle order batting is quite brittle. They were saved in both innings by runs from the lower order.

Interesting to see Sayers get out the likes of test selection wannabees in Maddinson, Patterson and Henriques....a bowler similar in style to Anderson, just lacking the 500 odd so test wickets...going to be interesting to see who the selectors plump for if no one sticks their hand up with some big runs....if Renshaw keeps missing out is his position at jeopardy?

Warner in the runs is healthy, Renshaw, Smith and Hanscomb miss out twice, good to see Ussie score some runs tho....Cartwright with his nose in front for that sixth position I reckon after round 1....as for keepers.....all 3 missed out with the bat....great see Starc get a ten for...

Well done WA on a great win...first of many we hope...bowling looks pretty strong...

Couldn't fit Patterson in flat track bully Usman is a Lehman favourite.

Danger with JL coming in is that he will pick the muppet brothers in the Marsh boys....I think not....think Gillespie could be in the running for being the next coach....really think if Renshaw doesn't score in the next few innings he could be struggling to play in the first test....Maxwell scores a 60, Cartwright fails, all these possibilities seem to take it in turns scoring and failing...Lehmann must be none the wiser.....great to see Jhye Richardson taking a few wickets too

I think they have to stick with Renshaw for the first few tests at least but If Bancroft can convert his 40 into a ton against the test bowling attack, this will certainly give the selectors something to think about.
