Hopefully the Colts boys play a lot better than last week DW. Claremont are a class act no doubts and Peel put WP to the sword in the 1st qtr after WP had 99% of the footy for the first 10 minutes of the game. All 23 boys chosen need to have an impact on this game as it was left to only a few last week.
The Reserves also started poorly in the 1st half down by 6 goals at half time and looking like going out in straight sets despite having a lot of talent in the team but after a rocket at the main break the boys came out breathing fire and out scored WP 11 goals to 1 in the 2nd half with a firece attack on the ball and the opposition. More of the same will be needed against $ubi who got us in the last couple of minutes in the Qualifying Final a fortnight ago after we missed a truck load of opportunities to finish them off in the 3rd qtr of that game.

Agreed BH, the ressies had Subi by the short and curlies in the 3rd qtr of that game and let them off the hook by not applying scoreboard pressure. Was a quality game of footy which produced a bit of a stalemate in the end with Subi falling over the line. Will be interesting to see how it plays out second time around.

In the colts last time v Peel there was a long haired git, left footer number 33 for Peel who had a truckload of possession. Wasn't super damaging with it but won so much of the ball would think he deserve a bit closer attention from the first bounce this week.

COLTS - Got off to a great start but I'm not sure that was because we were so good or Peel was deplorable?! The 2nd half performance was as bad a footy as I've watched from the colts this year and if it's not rectified during the week then the Tiges will do us by 10+ goals. We've had some bad qtrs in quite a few games but this was 2 in a row where we stunk,luckily the lead was big enough and Peel aren't that good. Will be surprised if either team had a draftee playing out there,1 or 2 at best maybe.

RESSIES - Great Performance! The team has come ahead in leaps and bounds this year and the 2,3,4 + games that most players have had in the League has really fast tracked the development it seems. I think 16 or so of the boys had played some league footy this year. Hopefully they stick together as it will provide us with amazing depth. Hopefully we can recruit a couple of top end players that will give us an edge. Quality mid and tall fwd is a must!

Alby nearly had more touches in the 1st 5min than he did all last week in what was great response from him. Copped a ruthless tag last week and thought he'd get one today but clearly beat it.

Was that the incident with Coniglio on the outer wing? Wasn't sure what happened from my vantage point.

That's terrible, no place for that in footy. He deserves the reprimand and fine that is surely coming his way.
