Surely the WAFL should have a process in place to provide details of the Semi Final venues by now.

There is a process Grassroots which I detailed on an earlier post but it does depend on individual clubs making decisions so thats maybe why the hold up, it is only the day after the first finals.

I have been as critical as any of the WAFC this year but I totally understand the reasoning for having the curtain raisers at the same grounds as the league. The cost factors ( catering venue hire, insurance etc) of arranging games at alternative venues would not be worth the small number of spectators who come along to games. It is also good to have curtain raisers at league games so that people getting there early have some footy to watch unlike the AFL games

If that fixturing is correct, it means the WAFC are further sinking the boots into WP as all 3 sides have advanced and it would make sense to have all @ Leederville for logistical reasons much like they catered for the Ferals on Sunday by moving the Rezzies to the Colts slot for the volunteers to get to the League game ???

Subiaco finished higher on the ladder so why should they be forced to shift their reserves game to accommodate West Perth?

WAFL website shows WP/SD reserves game as 7th September.

Can they get anything right?

mikeh wrote: Quote from the WAFC website under the finals arrangement

RediMed Colts and Reserves Finals will be scheduled at the same venues as League fixtures, with clubs to receive priority based on the final ladder position of their League team.

So the priority for teams in these finals would be

1. Subiaco
2. West Perth
3. Peel
4. Claremont
5. Swans
6. South Fremantle

So based on this, Subiaco will no doubt choose to play Souths at Leederville and West Perth will have to go to Mandurah to play Swans
In the Colts West Perth would have the first choice so they can choose Leederville or Mandurah for their game against Peel. Then the Claremont V Swans game will go to the other venue. Bassendean is not an option according to this as the games have to be played at the same venues as the league matches.

What an ABSOLUTE FARCE if West Perth and Swans have to play at CHUNDER Park. They should WALTON et al to go GET STUFFED.

Speaking personally I have ABSOLUTELY no interest in watching the shams called East Perth and Peel. Call me cynical but I would think the only reason to have matches played at Rushton Park prior to the league game is to increase the number of peolpe at the game.

NO. The only thing they could get right is if they resigned en masse.
