Should be a ripper this game if the clash at Joondalup a few months back is any indication. A possible shower is forecast but only 40% chance of rain and light winds. Both teams should be primed for the game.

West Perth will be keen to take another step towards a double chance in September ( thus making things even more awkward for Channel 7 and the WAFC  ). Swans really need to make their remaining home games count given that the away record this year has not been too flash ( 2 wins from 7 games).

Hopefully Elari and Ugle will be fit to play and I would hope that Dylan Nelson would get an opportunity this week given that he has already kicked 38 goals in the reserves this season and he reacted in a positive manner to the disciplinary issue a few weeks back.

One thing that Swans need to be aware of is the importance of a good first quarter particularly coming back off a bye. We need to start with the same intensity and pressure as was shown against East Perth because it will be tough to play catch up footy against a team of the quality of West Perth.

If Swan Districts have a full squad to choose, they should grab the win by about 20 points. West Perth haven't travelled well so far this season. From memory, they've the one Away win by a very narrow margin. However the chance of rain on Saturday and the ground surface being heavy will be different than playing on a dry day.

Lets hope them ball magnets you have in the middle forget to bring their own footys this weekend Cardy. Looking forward to a cracking game of footy this weekend....should be one of the games of the season and very hard to predict a winner. I'm not buying in to you guys playing down your chances due to injuries. Got a feeling your lads have got a bit up their sleeve at this stage of the year even with the loss of Guady

Listening to Greg Harding on 91:3 this morning he was very non committal as to the chances of Ugle,Elari or Nelson playing this week but that maybe smoke n mirrors. Rated both Elari and Ugle 50/50 but I'd suggest if they trained flat chat tonight they'll be in the side.
With regards to Nelson he echoed my sentiments in that it's not what he does with the ball as clearly he's very good in that area. It's more what he does when he doesn't have it.
I'll be very disappointed if we get beat on Saturday,we should be winning!

Its pretty damning DW, 5 of our best 22 sidelined with season ending injuries, Tedesco won't see any action for another 5-6 weeks, make no mistake. Piss poor timing with a massive lead up that may bring us un done !

We will have Blight,Simpson out and possibly Elari and Ugle too.
No excuses from our end no matter who is playing!

Some interesting decisions by the selectors. Blight named in the league team but after so many weeks out I think he will probably need a run in the ressies. Great to see him back though. What perplexes me is that Elari has been named in the reserves after a couple of weeks out. He is the sort of guy who could just come straight back in I would have thought? He is such a valuable player and in a vital game like this one should be playing league if he is fit.
